@twistintin my immediate family virtually have no history in joinery, but I intend to build drums, I'm sure someone at markethill or a brother in a lodge can help teach me how to tie the ropes, The last two are James Hamilton of Carrickfergus and I believe Frank Orr of Tandragee, I won't let it die.

@@twistintin I have a paragraph saved somewhere, it was like, one in 5 englishmen knew the fife/flute or drum in 1850, as the corps of drums were at their height, ancient guilds of fifes and drums have basically died in england, but are very healthy in switzerland and the U.S also France, I'm sure this is just a phase, people will remember their culture and music again and start building fifes and other instruments again, some just have different priorities right now I guess, but as far as N.I goes, I will try my best to dedicate myself to building instruments, like the great William Hewitt or Davy Angus, It sounds ambitious I'm aware 🤣
