My laptop is not like that my loptop id Asus
Then you need to connect and check your laptop with external monitor ! If it shows display on monitor then problem is in your laptop's display or connecting cable
Mine shows the hp logo but doesnt show the home screen
Then you need to install new windows on your laptop

You need to check your laptop while connecting through external monitor ! If it shows display on external monitor then you need clean display cable and check! And this method don't works then you need to change the display and check

hadnt used my laptop in a year or less the other day i wanted to turn it on to see my pictures but i lost my charger so got a new charger and now my computer blue light works but screen is black and also when i try to turn the power button off it stays lit

brother, if you have a computer monitor then connect it to your laptop via vga cable and see if it works or not ! if it works on monitor then you need to check your laptop's display connector pin and clean it. if it not works then you need to change your display.
