I said the same when it popped up.they have done that a few times I noticed. On top of it this chick is lame.dryer than sand,Stop trying to be funny and snark....it’s annoying and it has nothing to do with the woman factor it’s just her. 👎🏾
They screwed up too as the real finale is the two part episode where Scarab finally captures The Bionic Six, takes over the White House, and forces the old man to choose a new team of bionic heroes some of which were villains with a good nature, the new team's mission is to rescue the The Bionic Six then collectively take down Scarab once and for all.
That's their NPC & SJW Overlords fault, for not only pushing this detracting garble. But urging the hosts to _"be nuanced & funny"_ .. Which is A sick joke w/ in itself essentially.... Like All the subs & thumbs up they buy (or just get) from Google. To have *Their controlled [programming] video messages* pushed over & above non corporate, smaller, new media channels.
I'm 35 and after seeing that movie I couldn't watch it again for like ten years. Which FYI for those who want to know, I was six at the time. I remember this show, it came on early in the morning, like 6am where I lived and was fun to watch no doubt about it. Ah good times they were back then.
A factiod you missed was that Frank Welker (Freddie Jones from Scooby-Do, Megatron, Soundwave and 6 other original Decepticons, Nibbler from Futurerama, as well as like 500 other credits) voiced both Glove and Chopper. Also, Dr Scarab's bionificator (you know, the thing that bionificates) wasn't quite up to code, and had a few kinks he didn't quite work out. His first attempt was Clunk (didn't work out), so he fiddled with it and made the other henchmen. Glove isn't an alien, he just happens to be purple since the machine was second-hand.
Interesting Factoid: Jennifer Darling, who supplied the voice for "Madame O", was also *Oscar Goldman's secretary Ms. Callahan* in both "The Six Million Dollar Man", and "The Bionic Woman"*
Seeing it on Cartoon Quest later in my life confirmed that it was a real show and that i didn't imagine it as a kid. No one i spoke to had heard of it.
I’m 45 and I’d wake up every morning 5:50 am so I could catch Bionic 6 Mon-Fri 6am! I loved this cartoon! I used to put my fist to my watch before every sporting event! Lol
I remember being 7 years old sitting on the floor in my parents' living room eating cereal and watching this. I can still see my dad coming in, looking at me and saying "what are you doing up? It's not even 7." "Bionic Six is on, Dad."
This is one of my top 3 cartoons I watched as a kid! I have watched through it about 4 times a few years ago thanks to a bootleg I bought about 10 years ago! For those who don't know it's incredibly well written, and is probably the most well produced cartoon of the 80's! My top episode's are "A Clean Slate" pts. 1 & 2. "Nightmare at Cypress Grove", and a few others I can't find the name of. But this show has an alarming amount of depth, and 90% of the episodes are just fantastic! Oh, and that last episode " That's all Folks" was a rare finale for those day and worthy of a great show!
SyFy once upon a time aired these in the 90s. My favorite moments in Bionic 6 is when the introduce colorful characters the Kaleidoscope, Bandroids and my favorite, the Preceptor, who was once a scientist that helped develop the Bionic technology with Amadeus Sharp. He loses his eye sight via reckless testing on himself but gain super reflexes and other sensory factors minus his sight. He was the Daredevil/ Unabomber destroying technological facilities. “Humanity Shall Prevail”!
The best moment in Bionic Six was when Scarab looked up and saw his "perfect mate" Mrs. Scarab, and she says "What are you staring at, you bald headed bag of blubber." That duo was like a 1980's version of Samurai Jack's Scotsman and his wife.
I was a very young kid at the time and i sat in my mother's living room for many hours watching the Bionic six i love the music and the begining i wish those days never ended it was a better way of life ....
Bionicsix ! Need a reboot they were awesome 😎... I love this cartoon for all the right and wrong reasons ! That toy line was epic as well ! Here’s to daydreaming they make a comeback ☺️
My favorite part in "Bionic 6" is when they stopped the Chicxulub Impact Event which killed the dinosaurs. Unfortunately, they also left behind a piece of mildly radioactive science-tech that poisoned the atmosphere...and killed the dinosaurs.
Reuben Joseph Magbanua yes. The plot to that show was so bad, and took advantage of our primal needs to see things blow up. Good guys from the air, the water and land. It was just pure guilty pleasure with a bowl of sugary cereal. Such a silly construction of heroes, seemed like a 12 year old thought them up. I think kids today would be underwhelmed.
@@Halcyon4799 I agree, but if they made it now, it would look horrible. The animation in the 80's was hand drawn and shot frame by frame. It's expensive and time consuming, but by God, it shows in the quality!
Only if the reboot is picked up by Netflix or a streaming service that will do it justice. Network television would just twist it and try to turn it into another Teen titans go! clone.
I would agree only if they could stay faithful to the original, and leave politics out of it, not try to make this or that character out to be alternate orientation, or an illegal, or knocking gun rights, or trying to push socialism, or some other political stuff, none of that is important or adds to the story, just tell the story like they did with the original
Fun Fact: Frank Welker voiced Glove, Mechanic and Chopper. The company probably didn't hire enough voice actors. Anyway, Professor Sharp and Dr. Scarab are brothers and Dr. Scarab's real name is Wilbur.
@@CapitanJusticia first of all I didn't have rich parents. second the toyline wasn't that big so the thirteen figures and a few vehicles didn't ended up costing as much as you think. all together it probably came out to a little over a hundred dollars. also like I said it was for Christmas and my father saved up to get me something nice.
Anyone remember Perceptor? He was a blind guy who's bionics gave him super senses. He rescued the Bionic 6 in one episode. I thought he as cool af. Yes, I knew he was a DD knock off, but I didn't care.
Bionic Six is an amazing series that has somehow, like Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers, slipped by many people's radar. Both series were highlights of the 80s cartoon era because they had better than average animation quality. They were also filled with a lot of great characters that fit into the "everyone has role" template very well. Unfortunately, while Galaxy Rangers got DVD releases, to best of my knowledge, Bionic Six never has. It's still a sore point even with the entire series recorded to VHS.
Yeah, Galaxy Rangers's theme is just EPIC I wonder if their afraid of a lawsuit because the show had a character named Logan who draws quite the parallel to Marvel's Logan AKA Wolverine and that's why the show doesn't try for say a movie or a reboot Logan is a heavy reason behind much of the show's drama.
How did they not point out the theme of family with Dr. Sharp and Dr. Scarab being brothers? It was their rivalry that pushed the show. Netflix needs to get on this. Also, Power Rangers stole their power activation gimmick.
To this day, after watching thousands of animations, the sequence where the Sky Dancer comes out of his underwater hangar is one of the coolest sequences. In fact in the intro there is a super-charged shot of it.

I loved this show when it came out, the eighties had some really great cartoons...one of my faves was Mighty Orbots. I know it was a bit cheesy, but it had great animation and their theme song was every bit as awesome as the Bionic Six.
My favourite episodes are: When they go to a dimension full of heroes but without any villain. One of the greatest things of being born in the balkans is growing up with older cartoons (mostly 80s;90s) due to them being cheaper to buy for tv stations.
Mighty Orbots, Galaxy Rangers and Bionic Six were shows that came out before their time. They would be a hit now if Netflix gave them the Voltron treatment.
