In this clip, Larry Mazza talked about the small role he landed in 'The Irishman' in addition to being Robert De Niro's technical advisor. Mazza detailed his contributions to the film, both on and offscreen, while also recounting the filming of his scene which they reshot 40 times. Michael Franzese is literally proven by fbi files showing he was involved in the things he said he was in the 80s. He's definitely believable. A bunch of the others on here just talk shit.

Out of a lot of the mob guys interviewed, I like Larry lot. His story offers such a unique perspective of the mob life yet includes all the standard things you'd expect. I also like his character and the way he's told his story. I wish him a lot of success.

What y'all don't understand is that frank sheeran is not a snitch. This movie was made based on his final testimony before death and even before he died he refused to tell the truth or eat on anybody dead or alive. So he gave them some bullshit. I doubt he knew they would make a movie on his final words.
It wasn't 'his final words' - he worked with a ghost writer to come up with the book well before he died. He made a decent coin off the whole endeavour.

Not really because it was a movie about the book, so they followed what the book says. No matter who Marty picked to kill Hoffa it would have been wrong and ppl would have complained because other than a handful of ppl nobody really knows who did it.
Actually it’s based off the book so it’s less about what really happened which is where the issue of viewers is, they assume it’s what really happened but it’s what sheeran said in his book so you have understand the distinction

Sheeran was close with Russell Buffalino . No doubt he did work for the mob. He was in Detroit the day Hoffa disappeared. Do I think he was the trigger man? No but I believe he was definitely in the know.
