Good video. I agree the telecoil should be required in hearing aids. My hearing aids are expensive and the reason I got them was because of the t-coil capability. I buy season tickets to Broadway plays here in Pittsburgh at the Benedum theatre which has the t-loop system installed. In fact, that's the whole reason I got hearing aids to begin with, I couldn't hear most of the plays. The t-coil hearing aids are a godsend. Now it's as if the theatre system speakers are right inside my ears - which is the whole point of the t-coils. Great information. Thanks.

Thank you for this information. I am nearly 66 years old and have been told I would benefit from hearing aids. Of course, I am obligated to go through the company that my Advantage Plan works with, so that limitation is a bit intimidating. But I now have a bit more information to arm myself with when I do go to them. Thanks 🙂

This is a very limited opinionated and slightly uninformed speaker. All Audiologists are unique as are Physicians, and some have opinions that are contrary to yours. The speaker is obviously unaware of many components that go into the process of patient care and hearing health care. and having a daughter with Hearing issues she would have sought out a specialist in audiology e.g. Pediatric audiologists. This pediatric audiologist would work with the parents through a process that would involve counseling them and have other specialists such as a speech pathologist, social worker, and educational/academic specialist for the child's school and the pediatric physician. Regarding the cost of hearing aids i would suggest she turn to Starkey and ask them about the 95 million dollars they spend annually to develop more proficient equipment for the "world" of hearing impaired individuals. The focus is on how we help individuals with their hearing journey and not on what is paid during the trip.
