Okay, I'm definitely making a Laundromat with some run-down apartments on a second and third floor, with vending machines and an arcade machine in the laundry and a tagged up dumpster out back in the alley. I'm also adding some run-down trailer parks. Whatever the opposite of gentrification is, I'm using this pack to do that to the Sims neighborhoods.
Someone built something similar to this and its on the gallery, I'm using it now and it's AMAZING - functional laundromat (free of course though), plus a bubble tea bar and vending machines plus a non functioning market stand, so realistic - I think it's just called 'tomerang appartments', there are I think 6 unfurnished apartments

Hahaha I thought the same 😂. As someone who's worked in museums and heritage I was like the museum nooo. But tbh there's no good museum content for the Sims anyway so I don't blame them. I normally build a restaurant/ bar attached to the museum to make it a better date venue 😂.
Imagine a craftsman style home with the upstairs converted into an apartment and a small “shed” converted into an apartment as well. You could get three families on one lot but it would still look like a single family dwelling.
I wish laundry day came with the lot type laundromat. I think it would be realistic to have. Especially with the swatch that has the coin slot on the washing machine.
Now that you can put the hampers in your sims' inventory, you can basically make one. It won't be quite the same, but you can at least have the gameplay for your own sims.
I'd LOVE a little series of building and apartment in world! They don't even have to be apartments, townhomes, group homes, senior homes, student housing. Limited pack builds galore!
Oh yeah! A place that looks like an empty old warehouse from the exterior, and then the whole complex is underground in a multi level basement, one could imagine the marketing materials advertise spacious units with room for a coffin in a fully sun proof structure, located in a neighbourhood with a booming nightlife.
Please continue doing a series of multi-unit complexes in every world, they're so useful for other people wanting to fill out their worlds more when there's more relevant build options, so continuing this series would be super helpful.

I’ve been working on this since the pack was announced. It’s literally so much fun to try and make a different theme or style that fits into each world. Snowy Escape, Spa Day, and For Rent marry so well together.

14:00 in my sims' house they have a telescope, I threw a family gathering. All went extremely well. Suddenly the camera shifts to my sim's sister getting strucked by a meteor on the balcony. What a memorable party overall!
My game still lags when I hide them. (At least it did when I built a 6 unit apartment) Theres like a bit of a delay between clicking and the game recognizing that I did 😂😅
When I was younger and really into sims I built a 26 unit apartment complex and decorated every apartment differently and watching this now I have no clue how I managed that. This is so well done! I’m so excited to get For Rent

Your appartment building videos have been some of my all time favorites and I'd love to see you explore different styles and use each pack's build/buy items in new ways like you did with base game here! Your excitement at finding new combos and styles reminded me of shell tour streams and I love that
I am amused by how hard you work to make all the apartments different. My experience with apartments is that they try to make them as bland as possible (with white walls, oatmeal-colored carpet, amenities in "basic brown" or "white", and no decorations.) The apartment dweller is expected to "brighten up" their apartments with pillows, throws, and carefully hung wall decorations (using something that makes no marks on the walls.) And if the apartment is furnished, the furniture is also as bland as possible. Of course, in TS4, we want to see a variety in our builds, and from what I've seen of For Rent, you can ask for a higher amount of rent if it is well-decorated. But that is so different from real life!
The only annoyance really is how rent is based on the decorations.. so basically if you'd actually want to play as a landlord you're going to have to "game the game" to get an actual profit that makes it worth it. I knew this would happen with the pack, but was hopeful it wouldn't. So in other words you'll likely start off with making it look nice and then eventually keep trying to add to it to make it more profitable. Eventually it'll just look like it's full of junk to keep the tenants happy and paying more.
I recently built some apartments out of "shipping crates" from Eco Lifestyle, using the debug item as a template for size and shape. It was a challenge, to be sure, but I was so happy when I finished and I'm currently making sims for the rentals!
Love simsie, always have, but the cutest thing just happened today. I was watching this video with my phone sitting in the bed and my cat just curled up to de phone by the microphone and lay there as if hugging to simsie’s voice. I think he likes her too 🥰
I still haven’t bought the pack but from what I’ve seen on Twitter the lag is getting intense especially in the build mode of rental lots as you showed and not to mention the ongoing bug of rent turning into millions of simoleons and being unable to stay for that reason. In my opinion I can’t understand how they couldn’t find out about these issues prior the release but had to wait for users to purchase it to have a feedback, it’s the main focus of the pack so it’s unbearable that they did not play test it properly.
Yeah I’ve had so many issues. Sims are going into others apartments even when they aren’t shared and getting stuck. Eviction doesn’t work for me either
Kayla, in the latest update you can customize the windows of the apartments in San myshuno! I say this because I know that in every video where you furnish apartments you said you want to adjust the windows so badly and now it just works!!! I know it's not on the ea app website but i saw this on tiktok and i started up my pc right away and it's just real. ❤❤❤
the layout and shape is literally my apartment- down to the 2 identical buildings next to each other (minus the balconies and courtyard, plus mine doesnt look fancy, its cheap and has a small alley in between)

Definitely would love to see more, if you kept them pack specific. I.e Cats and Dogs plus base game - plus 4Rent. But you do what feels right. Love watching, and downloading your builds.
This build is so stunning! I would also love to see an apartment building per world! It could be fun to do a Realm of Magic inspired apartment or one that has lots of pets and stuff!
An issue I have had involving downloading residential rental lots from the gallery. The lot you want to place it on has to already be designated as a residential rental lot, or the game won’t let you place it. There is no option to change lot type when you place it, as you can for other lot types. Placing the lot itself is REALLY laggy. It is less laggy from the the manage world screen than in build mode. So I have to: 1. Select the lot and enter build mode 2. Change lot type to residential rental 3. Go back to manage worlds, open gallery and place lot (and edit if desired) Not great for trying to play in these beautiful rental lots everyone is making. My game froze multiple times trying to place one lot.
Builds like these make me want to draw up a quick floorplan for my apartment building, and see what you can make with it. Aside from that: something to think about in future builds is the clubhouse. Mine is two story, has a kitchen, a sitting area, a gym attached, and a pool. I don't know how large a lot you'd need, but you could build a six(+) unit complex, and then a shared space club house for maximum skill building opportunity.
I love watching your builds! I think it’s such a great idea to build apartments made for the other worlds! I think the vampire and werewolf ones might be the ones I am looking forward to the most. Mostly for the potential of chaos in story telling and gameplay!
It's a great idea to do appartments for each world! They are great places to put some of the random townies as well, to make room for more houses for my sims!
I'd love to see some that aren't just apartments, but like a Bed & Breakfast, and a Retirement Village and College Dorms. Those kind of things would work well in some worlds. Maybe Condos. Even then just 6 units would be fine though. I think a Motel (doors exit to where the "car" is parked), where there's a room with just a bedroom, bathroom and maybe coffee and a mini fridge, then a breakfast bar (not a kitchen, but like the waffle maker and such), and a pool and gym in the shared area would be awesome as well, and even though 6 is way small for realistic, I'd still just stop at 6 anyway.
I'd love to see six brownstone style apartments in a row! And six floor sized apartments. Stuff where you could fit whole families together on the same lot.

i love these apartments!! and I LOVE THE VAN GOGH BED!! All three are based on some of his paintings! The default swatch is actually from a painting he did of his own room. I’m so grateful for the devs that made that bed!!

It would have been really cool if you could set the apartments or houses as furnished and unfurnished. For the furnished the landlord has to provide basic furniture and for unfurnished, the Sims can bring their stuff. And both options will be really awesome if every tenant adds their personal touch in decor or colour options, etc.
I am also so addicted to this pack! I've been watching all the for rent content I can find and I'm playing two different landlords. One is a tiny home community and since the story mode gave her the club leader aspiration I made a club with all her tenants and they all hang out at one house plus the common area and do their club things together, it's so cute! The second is a rags to riches where I spent all the starting funds on the tenants home and made her unit an empty box 😂
I’ve never built houses that take me several days, but Simsie’s videos inspired me to make a 3-home mid-century “compound” kind of communal living lot that took me 3 days to make. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to play in it eventually!
Does someone else have the problem, that you can build a rental lot only in the new worlds (Tomarang, Chestnut Ridge & San Sequoia), but not in the older worlds?
I'd love to see the series!! I was going to say that you could also do apartments in the base game worlds using packs that don't have worlds attached, and/or doing an apartment block inspired by different neighbourhoods

Hah, the landgraabs are also property owners in my save file. Except Nancy and Geoffrey died due to neighborhood stories. So Malcolm moved in with Johnny Zest and they are my landlords 😅

Would love to see a series with apartments in each world! And also adoring the variation in style that you had in this build
It would have been really cool if you could set the apartments or houses as furnished and unfurnished. For the furnished the landlord has to provide basic furniture and for unfurnished, the Sims can bring their stuff. And both options will be really awesome if every tenant adds their personal touch in decor or colour options, etc.

I am also so addicted to this pack! I've been watching all the for rent content I can find and I'm playing two different landlords. One is a tiny home community and since the story mode gave her the club leader aspiration I made a club with all her tenants and they all hang out at one house plus the common area and do their club things together, it's so cute! The second is a rags to riches where I spent all the starting funds on the tenants home and made her unit an empty box 😂

I’ve never built houses that take me several days, but Simsie’s videos inspired me to make a 3-home mid-century “compound” kind of communal living lot that took me 3 days to make. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to play in it eventually!
Does someone else have the problem, that you can build a rental lot only in the new worlds (Tomarang, Chestnut Ridge & San Sequoia), but not in the older worlds?

I'd love to see the series!! I was going to say that you could also do apartments in the base game worlds using packs that don't have worlds attached, and/or doing an apartment block inspired by different neighbourhoods
lilsimsie has been the GOAT when it comes to apartment buildings for this expansion pack, I'm super duper looking forward to more apartment buildings in each world! def doesnt have to be 12 each time tho lol 😅
I hope others want to do your apartments in every world idea! I think it would be super fun to create different styles and themes. These apartments are amazing though!

Hah, the landgraabs are also property owners in my save file. Except Nancy and Geoffrey died due to neighborhood stories. So Malcolm moved in with Johnny Zest and they are my landlords 😅
