Thank you SO MUCH for this video!!! I watched 15 other videos before yours and none of them addressed how to reset the spring, so frustrating! Like…I wonna give you a medal or trophy or something, awesome job, very informative and even the video quality and editing is top notch!!!
Hi, thank you very much for this video! The cable on my WJ has snapped ( off course), and yours is the ONLY video on youtube explaining how to retension that spring. And the paracord trick is so simple and clever. After I watched your video few times, it took me about 10 minutes to fix this. THANK YOU!
Killer, that this truly is a helpful video. I found that pushing it almost all the way with a screwdriver was easier and then using the para cord to hold tension on the spring while fixing the end of the cord into the bracket was the easiest part. Doing this I was able to get the rear end of the cable in the properly installed spot because you’re able to pull the bracket back to such a point that you have bought slack on the rear connection.
This is what's known as a *useful video.* It's short, not rambling. It's actually edited and clearly photographed. And it covers what other sources don't. Well done sir!
Fantastic video. Helped us out a lot. We were replacing the brake cables as the front one had snapped. Couldnt see how the spring worked so checked youtube and found your great video. Keep up the good work.
Saved my bacon , you sir are awesome! Once I found the paracord and reversed the process on the 08 grand Cherokee it worked perfectly ( levers on the opposite side of the console )
Well done that is a very well done video. Very clear and concise. I do wonder about so called designers who come up with this stupidity. Thanks again for such a good clear explanation.
How about a closeup of where the cable connects to the bracket under the seat. You said that it should not look like what you showed but should move 1/2" more. Should the end of the cable fitting be close to the bracket or like how you show about 1/2"away?
GREAT video. So much more useful than the other jiggly, poorly lit, rambling on and on videos on this topic! Well done!!

Thank you so so much you saved my pocket, short video with full accurate details it took me a minute to do mine
10/10 video, saved me a lot of trouble.
Thank you that's great. Would it be possible if you do part 2 adjusting the rear adjusters please.
Worked perfect! Thank You! Had to pull on the paracord really hard but I probably have a really tight spring. It worked though!
Great video! Thanks mate! God Bless!
