Man...This is back when Stapp could sing in key. It's really sad what happened to his abilities. It's clear that the other members of Creed are still on fire - Alter Bridge is like one of the greatest bands EVER, but Stapp is just kind of burnt out now. Even the newest album (which is really good) is something that he can't really reproduce live...
It's called auto tune. Sounds exactly the same throughout the entire performance. No hiccups in voice from movement at all. You can obviously tell it's staged.
Stone Cold wooow... yeah, I’m sorry but this performance sounds nothing like the studio version. Listen to their Woodstock performance in 99. The man had a killer live voice. Go listen to torn live the oficial vid in 98, then listen to the studio. Totally different sound and he sounded better in his live torn performances. If they had autotune, then why did they not use it in the comeback tour in 09? If that’s why they did for years prior, why embarrass the hell out of him when he blew out his voice and worked for years to get it in half way descent shape. He sounded like he couldn’t breath like someone was punching him in the gut when he came back. Why not just use the autotune then? Even with how much he’s improved since is 09 return, he’ll never sound like he did in his prime. Go listen to bullets in 09 and tell me why not just use the autotune if that is what they used. Seems pretty counter productive to have a huge band come back and sound atrocious compared to his past. I just said his, cuz it was just stapp. The rest of the guys jammed like they always did. It’s evident he had a killer voice. Raw power, intense growl, baritone and smoothness as well. Now, not so much.
I feel like he’s been sounding better in some of his more recent live performances as opposed to the ‘09 reunion tour…hopefully he’ll sound better with this new reunion…. But the truth is you can’t sing like he did in his prime night after night for years on end and expect to prolong your voice… I agree with Krissanders…this was obviously a live performance…the verses are a little pitchy…and even the intense parts aren’t as polished as the album (but still amazing)… They get a lot of hate, but the truth is Creed wrote bangers…and they appealed to everyone…
Yes, I was very upset when they broke up. They were, at the time, one of my favorite bands. And I really initially disliked Alter Bridge, because it wasn't Creed. To be fair, I also hated Scott's solo shit. By the time they got back together, I had really warmed up to Alter Bridge, though I was also excited. But then when I heard that the fourth Creed album basically sounded like Scott's solo stuff (in part, I think, because his voice is just trashed now), I was really let down. The first three Creed albums are amazing. I loved Scott's voice on the first actually, and wish he would have taken better care of himself and his voice. But as you say, that time is gone. And Alter Bridge has given me a ton of really excellent music since. I would say in some ways they are better than Creed was, though I will always love those three original records.

they just had a break from the 2nd sept to 12th. So hopefully he sounds better. I have looked at other videos. like Fox and friends and AOL sessions. He sounds pretty good there. He must have blown his voice during recording or something.
Is there only this set of songs? Do you have My Sacrifice, One Last Breath? Scotts voice sounded great here. Pity its not like that live anymore. Still good to have them back. Overcome is AWESOME.

I remember this tour very well. My sis won a rohdee for the day thing and we got to make the laments for the passes and everything. It was fun.

Me too. I remember when this was on VH1. Unfortunately, the tape is so old and I've watched it soooooo many times that the tape is pretty much ruined.
