    I've been meaning to ask about your Camera Drone. What model? How do you like it? The reason I ask is that I have been considering getting a drone but there are tons of them out there and I have no idea LOL. I saw some of the shots in this video were done from the drone and it was perfectly stable... like it was on a boom or something. :)

      I have a DJI Air 3. Absolutley love this drone. Depending your budget you can't go wrong with anything from DJI even if it is like the DJI Mini series.

    Where is South Fork Canyon? I've been to the Uintas a ton, but haven't heard of it or see it on OnX

    • @outlandishoverland
      @outlandishoverland  6 дней назад

      It is not on OnX, it is on the Trailsoffroad app. I personally have moved away from OnX as I feel the Trailsoffroad app is way better. The coordinates to the trail head are provided in the video.

    Giving it very very light throttle just enough to spin them 1mph will actually make it easier because your tires are suctioned to the mud and it makes it easier to break suction when wheels are moving.

      Thanks for the response. Do you see any difference in performance Baja Boss AT vs the Wildpeak AT3W. You guys spent a lot of time together on and off-road so probably have a pretty good basis for comparison.

      @rtcorbett… I am looking for a new tire now. It would be great to hear your real life experience. What are your experiences with the Baja Boss AT? How many miles are you running them? Wet on road? Hydroplaning? Snow on road? Rocks off road seem to work well. Mud not so much? Do you have experience with mud tires like KM3 to compare with? MPG drop because of the tire compared to previous tire? Thank you! 😃

    I normally just watch your videos and enjoy it, give a like, and go on about my day.....but this one was cringe. The red truck got stuck because of it's driver. That was self recoverable. Then, your truck got stuck because of the driver of the red truck. You were using a kinetic rope, but the driver of the red truck wasn't pressing the gas. Instead, he was waiting until the kinetic energy was pulling you back to press the gas. Then, when the red truck is winching out, he has his brake on. That guy IS NOT someone you want to go off roading, overlanding, etc., with. You will just have more problems than you need. Hate me if you want....just being honest.

      Usually videos don’t allow for the entire context of the situation and what the factors that were considered before decisions were made.
      When was the last time you took a trip?

      I don't think the video does it justice just how far deep his tire had dug down into the muck, it was definitely not self-recoverable at that point. Was the initial getting stuck self-inflicted by the driver, absolutely, and he took 100% of the fault that day. To give some backstory on why he even had it in 2WD, right after we were done with the photos, he was going to do some donuts on the sand. After watching the video, was he a bit late on the throttle responses with the kinetic pulls, yes. He has never been recovered like this before so for someone's first time he didn't do terribly. At the end of the day, it was a high-stress situation as mentioned in the video and sometimes these situations can make you overlook the small things like leaving an ebrake on. We are all human, it happens to everyone. Sometimes it is just best to laugh about it and learn from the mistakes made to improve yourself.

      Based on how you commented, I would consider you NOT worthy to offroad with. You chose to criticism instead of taking it as a teaching moment. We all gotta start somewhere.
      If it was me in that situation and my partner was doing what was shown, I'd have educated him. You sound like the kind of guy to fight the help.
