What do YOU want to see in BeamNG’s career mode?
special unloclable parts that you can only get by winning some races
more missions, mainly on the island. also a storyline would be cool
I hope that you can own your own car garage and maybe even a house to customize in the neighborhood area
some sort of ownable company that you could do activities for like a police station, hospital, transport/logistics company, dealership or even construction, a company you can start yourself
Custom paint and vinyl options, custom interiors. When multiplayer becomes officially supported, maybe a stat for how well a car is liked based on submitting official screen grabs to a forum or post setting. Maybe the stat could influence things like the aggressiveness of the police or offers to race by npc cars and the like.
The career mode is going to be absolutely amazing. I was messing with it yesterday the potential is crazy. Beamng has turned into the car game we all dreamed about when we were kids.

I do admit that I never tried the Career Mode in Beam as it hadn't been finished. However it does look incredible from watching this video, especially with the added changes like being aware of fuel and buying vehicles. I might try it out! 👍
Man if beamng turns into a sort of life sim with heaps of different jobs, houses and businesses to own, and a bunch more cars, I don't think I'd ever get off it.

I applaud the tireless BeamNG team for creating such a cool game, and once you own the game, the updates are free (with new cars and maps). I haven't seen that on any other game, and the community is second to none.

A would be charging 60 bucks for the base game with the base cars and 5 maps, a 10 dollar map pack every 5 five updates, 5 bucks for the sport models of the cars, 5 bucks for off road rally configs then 30 bucks for mod support and 20 bucks for multiplayer.

@@chonou.v3 I don't have the game so I was just saying what I'd like to see. Basically with drift events I just meant like realistic events with tracks that have clipping points and whatnot.
This gives the game purpose and progression I could never really play this game for long because I didn't feel it had any meaning. in most sandbox games I've played you can at least build something and that gave the game meaning, but never had that aspect in this game till now. I can't wait until it reaches full release.

There's a beamng server called beamMP. It's pretty much exactly like this, you slowly grind out cars and upgrades and have to pay if you crash. Imo the most polished carp server and the best career experience you can get as of now. +The community is amazing
These devs love what they are doing and you can tell with how much work goes into each update.

It would be very cool to add a wear and tear feature on the drivetrain or brakes for example. The way you drove in this video was with burnouts so it'd be (I think) very cool to get punished for this like in real life (ofc if the car is stock it gets damaged faster).
I hope that in the campaign there are difficulty settings like easy where you can respawn your car for free and realistic mode so if you damage your car on a mission it stays like that for the rest of the game unless you pay for the parts. and I really really hope that when you upgrade the parts the broken ones are still there. as in lets say you get into a front end collision and your tire breaks off. instead of paying full price to fix the whole car, you can just buy the suspension components to get it driving but the cosmetic damage is still there. that would be so sick
just to say i have the dmc-12 mod for the freeroam and i can buy the car from the mod in the carrer mode so its really cool they do a absolute perfect job for this carrer mode

Street Legal Racing Redline is finally coming back. Damn I miss that game, so glad BeamNG is going that route. can't wait for it to be released :D

This would be awesome on a huge open world map with things to do that give you money and you start out with nothing and have to build up your car and every part cost a different amount of money.

BY THE WAY if any of you want a fun moddable career game like BeamNG there’s a game called Street Legal Redline: Racing (and no it’s definitely not legal) it’s probably the closest game to BeamNG I’ve ever played and for it’s age it is SOO good, play it.. really. Also another thing, wrecking your car is SO bad, if you wreck good luck sometimes you gotta reset to a new save because you’re too broke. Game includes motor building, visual modification building, custom vinyl, etc. You do it all yourself, mechanic simulator with BeamNG

The story mode is shaping up to be a more advanced version of the gameplay in Motor Town: Behind the Wheel.
If the beam devs fleshes out this campain with what you said neil, car customisation and life sim, there really could be a situation where the devs heavily focus the game towards career mode.
They could focus updates towards already existing car parts, missions and work in the background to producing a main map, big enough to host a variety of environments and such to aid the sim.
This seems years away tho, because what would really aid the devs would be to implement a thorough online platform, to produce revenue.
Similar to the way T2 run the GTAOnline scene, the beam devs could utilise a “gamer-market” for car customisation where you earn points for online progression; similar to GTAOnline mission systems.
The game could still very much keep its sandbox past, to which would be the secondary focus for the player, rather than the devs.
I hope beam gets its glory days but it wouldnt be the end of the world if it turned out just like any other project.

More dense, there’s gonna be modded maps when modded jobs. Modders can add their mods to work with career and it has prices for parts and or cars as a whole. This is going to be super cool. It’s almost gomma be how snowrunner is
The closer this game gets to its final form the closer it resembles the game 5th grade me dreamed up at school back in 2011, to sum it up I wanted an open world game with basically every type of motorsport, and Rigs of Rods levels of damage, (since Beam obviously wasn't out in 2011) it's surreal to see a game I dreamed of and thought would never see the light of day be made right before my eyes over the course of a decade
There is a server made fore like career style game which is Carp (UKDrifter told about it at a small time youtuber.*and he is planning to buy the Apex X Neilogical pc to!*) also fun fact about the mode:the development is enough to where it actually use the mods you download and set price to what you actually expect (Camodo forgot to turn of a mod which id the lego car mod and that actually appeared in one of the Dealership and priced for 11.96 B for one of them! And another one is that also someone i watch also forgot to turn of a mod which is a Genesis mod and that actually priced around 86K for that luxurious stuff!)

albeit its VERY wip but I think since now you lose money with repairs n stuff its much more playable
this reminds me of driver: San Francisco in the way the missions go with specific cars instead of whatever you want but you can still choose a car? or is it maybe more like TDU?
I still don't not understanding why no one is talking about the small construction site that CHANGES right next to the hollywood studio center like that small construction site connecting to the toll booth entrance we can see that their is a construction site and that construction site ever update DOES change!!! And nobody is talking about that??? What could be there?

I hope that, when customizing your car, they go a route akin to Forza Horizon where you can pick the parts you want and can buy all the ones you picked instead of one at a time.

Car impound is in single player mod called beamLR and fuel usage u can buy junk cars and made them into monsters
I wonder what happens if you total your car, do you lose it or is there a mechanic out there that can repair the Civetta you wrapped around a telephone pole to the point beyond recognition
I've been playing it for a bit, all crashes seem to be fixable with 500, but I've not been in a very major one yet.
I hope eventually this will be mod friendly so you pay money for mod vehicles. would love to start out in a jeep or something

I really wanna have settings for everything in the eventual full release of BeamNG's career mode, like simulate tire thermals [YES/NO], open door to get inside car [YES/NO], have [PERCENTAGE] of vehicle repair cost covered by insurance, pay [AMOUNT OF MONEY] for insurance, ...
I would also love an assortment of different spoilers for the Ibishu Pigeon, spots for mounting one would be e.g. the back of the roof of the cabin or bed box. I know there are four-wheeled Pigeons, but even they like to flip when taking corners too tight + fast, which is not very :\ I would especially love a stronger driveshaft since the stock one can't handle the torque that the strongest engine produces, clutch dumps are impossible :[ Also maybe widebody kit please?
Does anyone know how multiplayer works? I dont see an option for it on the menu
There's no official support for multiplayer yet, everyone uses the beamng multiplayer mod in order to play together until it has official multiplayer. The official multiplayer will have way less snags/hang ups in regards to players loading vehicles or changing parts, etc.

I used a taxi to go buy a car and I couldn’t get one back. I was in the new part of the map and had to walk all the way back to the garage.

The fact there is insurance, deductibles, sales tax and fees blows every other driving game out of the water and its not even finished yet.

When I press recover and repair the screen turns black for a second and then shows my car again. Still wrecked… Which glitches the whole thing. I can’t drive, I can’t open the map and I can’t repair again
Most unrealistic thing in this is a mint S chassis for 7 grand
