Love this pioneering woman & the entire Come From Away story - the musical is SO AMAZING!!! I could see it time and again just like Beverley Bass has (fortunately we've got the CD to play in the car)
Yeah. The story is not about the pilot, trailblazer though she may be. The entire story is about all the people, not just in Gander but everywhere that Gander represents, everyone who came together in a moment of darkness and evil perpetrated by just a few and showing how kindness and love can change not just one or two but thousands and "deliver us" from that evil. It's a story that tells the audience, yeah Ok, there's these demons but there's also good in the world. All you have to do is look for it.
A thing that may be missed is that the reason the flight crews got the hotel rooms unlike the passengers isn't for some class privilege reason but because there's strict FAA rules about what sleeping accomodations are needed for a crew to officially count as being rested enough to fly. Camping out on a cot on the floor doesn't qualify so if the pilots didn't get the hotel rooms none of planes would be allowed to fly out of there again.
These hosts were wholly unprepared for this interview. I was truly annoyed to hear the statement that the Canadian musical, Come From Away, was Beverly Bass’s story. I like snd admire Captain Bass, but Come From Away is NOT her story, although she is a featured character. It is the important story of the town of Gander responding to the 9/11 crisis in magnificent ways. Do your research and state the TRUTH. To twist this story into just another American 9/11 story is insulting to the people of Gander, Newfoundland. Get your facts straight.

Actually saw Beverley in Melbourne season. With audience Qand A. Brilliant. Pat webb
Interviewer interrupts to much and should do her homework before the interview
