What's your best Cape York tip? Let us know in the comments below! Best tracks, campsites, best time of year, what to bring, what not bring or how to modify your vehicle.
The preserved egg are best with hot white rice, just add some soy sauce (either salty or sweet) and a little bit of chilli sauces. The yolk are tasty part of it imo.
Every time you boys mention take your rubbish with you and a little more if you see it inspirers me to get out there which I’m working on as I haven’t yet, love how yous got a little annoyed in a somewhat positive way on camera with it on this episode and inforced the fact👍legends!!
My family and I love watching 4wd action. Last year I was having chemo for cervical cancer and when we were waiting in the ward for my treatments to finish we would watch your videos. We can't wait to go to the cape one day. Hopefully we can do it soon! It would be a dream come true for our boys if we ever got the chance to come with you guys!
Loved your DVD’s back in the day with the mag and so glad you moved to RUclips to bring your show to the world. Keep it up lads at this rate you will have a million subscribers soon enough. A lot of pretenders have copied your style but you guys have always been pioneers of 4wd shows so keep up the awesome productions. My fav time of the week to see this pop up
Nice to see chat about being responsible for rubbish and human waste. You often drop in a message in episodes to pick up more than just your own rubbish which is good - but it's great to see you guys looking directly to camera, advocating for personal responsibility and better practice from the community that you're leaders of. It's awesome to see you guys role modelling the behaviour the entire 4wd community should be living up to. Keep it up!
Loved all your Cape York videos from this year - can't wait to get out there and explore more! Also 100% agree with your comments on keeping our beautiful country clean & tidy - we all need to do our bit to keep it looking good and open for everyone to explore...
Pack it in and Pack it out! That is our motto over here to keep our trails open. So glad you guys touched base on this important item. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!! My wife and I watch every week looking forward to your next adventure!
I take a photo of the site when I get there and when I leave and I'll guarantee that it's cleaner when I leave. I had to bury other people's crap and bog paper on one site we pulled into as they had emptied their cassette toilet into a drainage ditch dirty B#########$
Couldn't agree more about dunny paper and crap in the bush and beach. Another tip.....burn the paper in the hole before filling it back in. Can't get uncovered and exposed again.... Cheers n beers
Car guys, I noticed your kitchen stove is running rich. Turn the round dial (just after the fuel control valve) to let more air flow into the mixture for a better combustion. Flame should be bluish, not yellow and smokey.
Awesome! Thanks for the effort and laughs lads. Your pro tips are very helpful. Keep up the excellent content. We all look forward to your next endeavours! Much respect from New Zealand
At the end what Graham said about the Domin8r winch I totally agree. I have just put one on my PJ Ranger and on the way home from work, found a 79 series Toyota ute stuck in sand down to the rear diff. He had gone down not only because he hadn't dropped his tyre pressures but also because he had over a tonne and half of gear on the tray including a gennie. Out came the winch, and with the anchoring by another Ranger behind me, we got the Cruiser out albeit the clutch a little worse for wear on the cruiser. Very much a confidence booster in the equipment by Kings!!
It's great that you guys brought out the rubbish and crap matter, its just uncivilized. when one goes outdoor and enjoy the beauty of nature and fresh air, it's their responsibility to protect it for the future generations...... You guys are doing an epic job, awesome videos, awesome vehicles and equipment, and most of all the tips & tricks you guys are teaching. Thanks a lot. Best 4WD channel in the world !!!! Keep it up ..
I always enjoy the cooking segments and I am glad to see another person that makes fried rice in camp. My wife is Malaysian and she, and her mom, taught me to use yesterday's rice for fried rice. So to make things easier we cook up the rice at home and bring the rice pot, or even a ziplock bag full of cooked (cool temp) rice to camp. Then in camp you just have to cook the meat, toss in the rice, the veggies and soy sauce/spices and you are ready to go.
You Tube always recommends these episodes to me in the category "cooking". That by itself is hilarious. This particular cooking scene was my favorite so far. Of course I could watch trucks on the trails (tracks) for the whole thing, but Shauno's cooking scenes are comedy gems.
As a Chinese, I suggest you to eat the 'Century eggs' with congee or tofu. It is delicious! I can't even eat it by itself. 😂😂 at least put some soy sauce and cut chilli. 🤣
On the crapping tip, in addition to digging a hole throw a match in after you've wiped to burn most of the paper away (if safe to do so ie. no dry leaves etc. in there to spread the fire). Everything will break down easier & there's nothing to blow around decorating the bush 👍
As a Chinese, I knew it's gonna be good entertainment when Shaun said he's gonna do a fried rice. Had a good laugh at the preserved egg part. Gotta say ripper effort mate! I'll eat that fried rice.
Be orsem to go on a trip with you guys hi bilding a gu just to do the west coast of tase been in the bike for 6months you guys had a ball hi been 4whil driving all my life keep up the orsem shows
As always, love the video! Free advice about making fried rice - especially when you have a campsite full of hungry people - cook the rice the day before and toss it in the fridge. It will dry out a bunch, and fry up better. Plus, it shortens the time to dinner by a solid half hour! I use 4c cooked rice, which I add to onions and other veg I saute in sesame oil. I stir fry whatever protein (pork balls???) and add 2tbs of soy, 2tbs of good fish sauce, 2tbs of sesame oil, 2tbs of mirjin sweet wine (sweet rice wine), and 1.5tbs of rice wine vinegar. Chilies , salt and pepper to your taste. When I need this in a hurry (camping or at home) I mix up that sauce in a small jar to make it a single dump into the pot when the time comes!
You guys are absolute legends! My fourby is on its way and it’s because of this show that made me go out and buy it. Can’t wait to get out and explore Aus, don’t ever stop these videos 👍🏼
Awesome lecture. If you can bring it in, you can take it out. Dig a hole when you go to the toilet and fill that hole back in. Pick up extra rubbish. You guys are awesome!
My husband and I love watching your show!!! Our favorite part is Shuano's cooking. We always have a great laugh and learn a few things. Sending love all the way from Nelspruit, South Africa.
Well done re toilet paper, we just did The Simpson after Big Red and the amount of toilet paper was embarrassing, we even picked up paper. Keep telling everyone and eventually it will sink in.
Another awesome episode 🤙🏼 Wicked to see you guys promoting CLEAN CAMPING! It’s so sad travelling around this beautiful country of ours & seeing how much rubbish people leave behind 😢There’s no excuse! Take a box of $2 disposable gloves with ya, pick up 5pieces of other people’s rubbish when you leave, job done! We shouldn’t have to, but anything to keep these sweet spots open for all of us to enjoy✌🏼
I worked in Oman for 3-1/2 yrs I had a 100 Land cruiser and punctures were a major problem, we carried 2 spares and one day I had 3 punctures. had to steal a spare from another truck to get back to Camp. We used A/T tires (Bridgestone Desert/ D) the issue with A/Ts is the sipping they have for water ejection, sharp little stones get in then another and another and they push through the case and you have a puncture. I tried in vein to get them changed to a M/T block pattern than don't have the sipping, the more open tread doesn't hold onto the stones and in that time I saw it rain twice. Horses for courses but I'm a M/T every time. Cheers Leon.
Great series in general. My little Zook is nearly all kitted out because of you guys! Plenty of inspiration, now just wish we had that kind of terrain over here in the UK!
Hi from NZ. Glad to hear you guys talk about the camping rubbish, toilet rolls etc. We have that issue here in NZ which is causing a lot of grief. It’s causing places to close and a policy an MP is trying to get through is only vehicles that can camp are those that are self contained. This is cost a severe hit on our Kiwi / Auzzie culture of camping and exploring the great outdoors with your kids. To be blunt, it’s the younger generation and people focused on creating content at any cost. I.e. people who don’t find being outdoors as a natural part of our life. Therefore walking more than 10 metres and being decent is a foreign concept. Like I wish there is a good solution to help keep the big Kiwi / Auzzie custom. P.S. love your channel! Keep it up boys!
Always wanted to get off road and just got a jimny.. not as lucky here in the U.K. to have the trails you fellas have. But thank you so much your films. So inspirational.. keep them coming and take care.
its AUSTRALIA!! BEST COUNTRY in the world. lets keep it clean so we ALL can see those amazing views and like Graham and Shauno say those side tracks they are A LOT of fun!! love the videos fellas keep crackin those beers and keep those videos coming. Love ya work!
Love this video guys awesome trip and thank you for putting the message out there about the rubbish I've been to a lot of campsites and found rubbish, crap, or glass and had to pic up other peoples junk , and ur right its not hard to spend 5 minutes to clean up
What's your best Cape York tip? Let us know in the comments below!
Best tracks, campsites, best time of year, what to bring, what not bring or how to modify your vehicle.
You guys should have run a comp or something to go out for a couple of days somewhere with your fans.
The preserved egg are best with hot white rice, just add some soy sauce (either salty or sweet) and a little bit of chilli sauces. The yolk are tasty part of it imo.
Where do you guys get most of your funding for the show/trips? I'm guessing all the product placements?
4WD Action Cape York 1999 , everyone backed out , me and a great mate in a HJ75
DONT BRING A NISSAN!!!!

A good chat about keeping the tracks rubbish free. We should all do our part
Agree, loved that they included that part. Good job boys!
Make it blue if they should go to Uluru again

Pissed myself laughing when y’all started to eat that egg haha 😂

Bring back Rocket, it's just not the same without him!!!!
Rocket's in the next show!

Love Rocket, needs to be a main member on the show.

Can you do a beer counter in the bottom of the screen when you do the cooking segment?? with a sound effect of a tinny opening..
Brownie82 I was thinking the same thing, those cooking segments are hilarious - it’s gotta be about 6-8 beers for sure.
Every time you boys mention take your rubbish with you and a little more if you see it inspirers me to get out there which I’m working on as I haven’t yet, love how yous got a little annoyed in a somewhat positive way on camera with it on this episode and inforced the fact👍legends!!

It's funny that shauno gets his beers from grahams fridge and Graham gets his from shaunos

Love yalls videos. I live in east Tennessee over in the states and I watch your videos as much as possible. Keep up the good work fellas
Yeah!
Been waitin all week for this
Nearly spat my coffee out... Shaun’s comment about the eggs 😂😂 and his face was a picture
In The States, we say Tread Lightly. We all need to work together to keep our favorite trails and tracks open.
That dmax surprises how capable it is even with Graham behind the wheel 😅
It's got a locker that's why it's so capable
Not to mention traction control
The DMax comes with traction control? I had no idea 🤣
Automatics are awesome
I’m going to get one I think. Have a look anyway.

Shot boys, Highlight of the week!!
I started to watch this series coz I love 4wding, but now the reason is Shauna's cooking & graham's sarcastic comments about it.
That's not a rock step. That's a bloody rock wall. Can I ask why you guys didn't use the recovery tracks to get up it?
Jungle Jim snap max traxs on steel rock and stuff like that.
