still One of my favorite song of all time. That ending scene in the movie where she sang the song puts lot of emotion while watching it. That lyrics too. Akfg did a great job composing the song.
i read solanin like 4 months ago and watched the live action afterwards. i think the characters has more depth and was better on the manga but yea, music. for me, reading then watching this masterpiece is the complete solanin experience. especially since the music is so damn good in the live action, thanks to inio asano's lyrics and AKFG's music.
Solanin is just masterpiece! They did good adaptation from the manga to that movie. The story is so slice of life and we like the characters because they aren't speical, they just normal people who looking for happiness and can't forget their past, the guiter always cames in the right timd where needed and the story is great.

I'm from Indonesia. I totally agree with the realism and how this is so different because of how shockingly very realistic it is (instead of the typical "happy-ending" standard movies or manga), which is why probably I can deeply relate a lot, especially with Taneda (yes I'm a failed musician myself.. ). Thank you very much for this in-depth review, it's also one of my favorite movie, because of how very close it is to the everyday's harsh reality.

To me, the manga was far better as the characters were richer and less static as the film depicts them.
