Yeah damn shame.. guitar solo sucks ! If the dude CAN actually play it note 4 note then it is a fuckin travesty that he can murder it quite so badly !!! Should call themselves a Riot tribute act
@@hughcape2881 Uhhhhh ... Mr. Know It All has spoken to us. But he has no idea how musicians move through the various chord progressions. Mr. Know-it-all obviously did not receive any musical training. Riot is not Pink Floyd. There, every note must be played exactly as on the album, because improvisation is not possible due to the dominant melody lines. With rock bands like Riot, there is much more room for improvisation. Mike is an excellent guitarist. You just don't get it. Therefore it is better when you keep your mouth shut.
@@wolfgangmarkusgstrein8522 I get it fine dude , point I was making was that if you like a song ,and what makes u remember it is that one chord progression in the middle of solo, when that gets changed it ruins it for one. I saw OG Riot at the HMH festival in 1981 in Stoke and the only difference between the two albums I’d heard at that point and the live stuff was - they were faster and tighter ! Solo on road racing was note fucking perfect 🤘
I don’t even fkn care if someone in this band can hit what notes perfect,it’s still just a tribute to Riot and not Riot. I can’t stand when a band has rights to the brand name and there’s almost no ,or definitely no original members.
Bands like this should bill themselves as tribute bands. Calling themselves Riot is a discredit to all the original members of the actual band. It`s hijacking someone else's band.
