A tip with the drywall patching to get it smoother. Before it's all the way dry, get a spray bottle fill it with water and spray it on the uneven spots then go back over those spots with a dry trowel or putty knife and smooth it. Look at all the areas and just hit the uneven spots one by one that way it cuts down your sanding time
