- The End is such an underrated song and a great song to vibe to. I once had already uploaded a karaoke version to this but it didn't sound as good as this version. So I re- edited this once for a better experience. If you liked this video be sure to leave a like and subscribe for more. Also be sure to check out some of my digital art on my Instagram page.
Here are the Lyrics:
This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end, my only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes, again
Can you picture what will be, so limitless and free
Desperately in need, of some, stranger's hand
In a, desperate land
Lost in a Roman wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane, all the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah
There's danger on the edge of town
Ride the King's highway, baby
Weird scenes inside the gold mine
Ride the highway west, baby
Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long, seven miles
Ride the snake, he's old, and his skin is cold
The west is the best, the west is the best
Get here, and we'll do the rest
The blue bus is callin' us, the blue bus is callin' us
Driver, where you taken us
The killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived, and, then he
Paid a visit to his brother, and then he
He walked on down the hall, and
And he came to a door, and he looked inside
Father, yes son, I want to kill you
Mother, I want to, f--k you
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the blue bus
Doin' a blue rock, on a blue bus
Doin' a blue rock, c'mon, yeah
Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill
This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end, my only friend, the end
It hurts to set you free
But you'll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die
This is the end

Driving home from Albuquerque, New Mexico...April 7, 1994...back to Boulder, Colorado (home)...the song was on, with lyrics...going into Colorado with a major snowstorm...elevation over 6000 feet in southwestern Colorado...the winding road on US Highway 491...I hit a snowbank and flipped my car twice...I was uninjured but I thought so deeply that this was "The End"...but I survived and now hearing the instrumental version makes the feeling back then more intense than ever.
Dear Aliens... This is music as it was suppose to be!!! Alive, with an organic structure. 'Ever moving, growing, expanding and retracting. Constantly and ceremoniously breaking through and exploring. Taking you to new highs and unexamined lows..... and just wait 'till you hear it accompanied by a voice you'll want to hear forever, with words that journey with you into the expanse of consciousness..... This is the 'something better' we are capable of...
The horror... the horror...
I embrace it.
I don't see any method at all.
Horror
I am the Lotd of Deadside.
“Horror and mortal terror are your friends. If they are not, then they are enemies to be feared.”
You don't know how much I needed this, you are a legend. Thank you.

You said all man
Let the karaoke jams begin!!! Love this too
I love this! The original with Jim Morrison is great, but I love just the music instrumental too. That way you get to really hear how good these musicians really were. Thank You!
A Masterpiece made karaoke. The Doors with or without Morrison are still magical
Saigon…. I’m still in Saigon.
i was looking for this lmao
Captain Willard!
I haven't said two words to my wife until I said yes to a divorce
souvenirs from Vietnam...
Spirot of '85 here. "The End", underrated!? Whaaat?
Thank you very much for creating and uploading this masterpiece of The Doors in purely instrumental version!!! Beautiful!!!
I've listened to this song hundreds of times, and I never get sick of it. This particular instrumental version, with playback speed at 1.25 is a fascinating listen, and it really accentuates the musical acuity and mastery of this piece and the musicianship.

It is really useful, because I can sing with it and play some parts on the 🎸)

A CUP OF BOJEMNI TEA, LYING ON MY BED WITH THE SUN SHINING DOWN UPON ME AND LISTENING TO THE GENTLE SOUNDS OF THE SITAR....I THINK I JUST EXPERIENCED HEAVEN.
thanks for doing. very interesting to listen to.... shows you just how talented the doors were, esp in their ability to paint a structure & create a pathway of movement. their arrangement skills were top drawer. few if any bands have laid out such scope and density in rock. consider too, this was in place by summer of '66. no one at that point was in this zip code vision & skill wise.... lastly, it also reveals how talented morrison was. his voice was very much an instrument. his phrasing, spacing & emotional fills were that of someone who had an innate feel for drama and tension..... an inconsistent band, but when on their A game, they were america's top artist in rock in their era. this song is ageless.
THIS I LIKE !! 👍

Amazing music to trip to

Imagine if somebody had of recorded/video taped the evenings, now that would've been something else
Brilliant composition, incorporating Indian instrumentation. And you can't forget the lyrics that are on par with that
Saigon shit I’m still here
every time I wake up I think I'm back in the jungle
Interesting, but it is certainly Jim that brings the angst, the gut punch, to this iconic doors song..
Hello 👋🏻 from Tallahassee, Florida (FSU)
Thanks for this ✌🏼
This is such a beautiful song and I am so glad you took the lyrics out, it's like we can add our own with a more positive spin.
AMAZING ❤️❤️❤️
I know where there is an underground tiny club that is a Doors revisited spectacle
Where
Yes damnit, where?
I don't think we'll ever find out where
I love the original, but this is awesome. Thanks. Whatta band! Long live the doors.
That’s epic
Prietos en aprietos
Beautiful 🎶🎶🎶💋❤🎶🎶🎶
GREAT
Love ❤️ it
Fantastic song. Very interesting how the general vibe allows you to leave the key sometimes to create an uneasy tension.
Willard in the room !!! Tucutucutucutucutucu🚁🚁🚁 ....
charging a man with murder here is like handing out speeding tickets at the indy 500
Thanks
John Densmore, Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek. Brilliant. What else is there to say.
thx bro
I agree I lfucken love this song
Scariest and yet one of the most beautiful songs ever composed. It’s like the finger of God resting on the brutality of our human existence
Eu não precisava disso.....até agora
Потрясающий трек
на все времена
9:22 понеслась вода в квартиру !
I know this is a DUMB question, how did you remove the vocal track?
Thinking the same too
You can do it with some editing software like Audacity
iZotope
If you heard this song before, you can hear the parts of the music punctuating Morrisons phrases.
8:48 * the closeness to Kurtz intensifies*
The only thing i can imagine while listening to this is someone saying "Good luck, my friend.."
@Daniel Valdivia would there be any pole dancing videos of this instrumental song any where? Just asking cause the The End instrumental sounds like someone could pole dance to it to me. What do you think?
no but there is a video of a drunken major in a saigon hotel room doing karate to this song
My funeral sound!
Fuiste un gran cantante con tu musica me gusta mucho si estubieras estubieras feliz por que se escucha generacion tras generacion yo vi tu pelicula

Your parents were ignorant, not to patronizing, im so proud of y'all
This is classical music for me, nothing quite like it
Ate a 8th of shroomz , catch me on the other side ( lizard king, i see ya ) 🚪🚪🚪
Densmore Rules!!!!!
The instrumentation is like Tool before Tool became Tool
Maynard is a fan
Never get out of the boat. Absolutely goddamn right. Unless you were goin' all the way. Kurtz got off the boat. He split from the whole f***in' program
Post the lyrics
!
Was it worth it
Good effort, for sure, but it still has some noticeable distortions from where Jim's voice was removed.
I feel certain that there must be some quality instrumental cover of this song (or others)... perhaps with a little variance by that particular artist doing the cover. But it's the hardest thing to find!! The best I've found are covers that completely alter the mood and feel into some sort of discordant "happy" funk thing or otherwise bad amateur cover or someone using digital instruments of very low quality so it sounds incredibly cheap and soulless.
I've seen a couple live bands cover this song and do an incredible job. And I'm just hoping to find a recorded instrumental version that, you know, sounds good.
Mary get it now?
How much did TC fn pay you?
you're an assassin?
Very religious sounding
