Hegel said that a true painter makes the painting look more true to the essence of the subject than the way the subject appears to the eye directly. Khatia made this minuet sound more Handelian and elegant than Handel intended. Khatia is a true master in Hegelian sense.
She’s wonderful. The piece is harder to play than it sounds. Also this is the same concert where she plays Schubert’s Serenade and the audience is so loud and annoying! They are driving me insane. They even drop coins in that other video.
Heart-rending interpretation that does not feel maudlin. Even within the bounds of early 18th century restraint, a powerful depth of feeling. Remarkable how she achieves what seems an impossibly protracted diminuendo from p to pp… and then beyond.

A performance that makes you feel moved and excited. Thanks for sharing
I have been trying to understand why this music, handel, vivaldi, etc effects me and obviously so many people to the point where I just go numb and in a way, merge with the music. this quote from plato, is true, I do think it somehow cleans the soul, makes one heal both physically and mentally. but, you have to be open to it, let it in. It's enough to just enjoy it of course, but to truly let in in, it can transform you.
definitively not. Try this, the piano is beyond this world, none other than Chopin's own piano. The parts where it goes piano gets me. ruclips.net/video/LyurmW7EaK0/видео.html

Hello can somebody who know classical theory tell me what this means "arr Wilhelm Kempff" does it mean that the only original from Handel version is the melody and harmonic and Kempff did the rest or shall it be undestood?
This piece was not originally written for the piano, but for its predecessor, the harpsichord. Pianos were not yet so widespread in the Baroque period. That is why Handel called it "Keyboard Suite" and not "Piano Suite". Kempff simply translated this work for the piano. If you want to listen to how it sounds for harpsichord. ruclips.net/video/SwNMUBlRD90/видео.html?
Please change the title. It is not an arrangement or composition of Wilhem Kempff. She played it exactly like Handel's original score. Minuet from hwv 434 suite

Katia is one of the greatest pianists - Ever!
Great comment

Khatia Beautishvili!!! All that she takes turns into gold! Queen Midas at piano!
The harmonic progression on this piece gets me everytime, it speaks a thousand words.
try it on a 1848 Pleyel. Need kleenex too when it goes piano the second time.

I play it every day, several times and i never get tired. it’s marvelous. It touches deeply my heart. It makes me happy.
Silky finely touched tones make every pain forget and love makes the air vibrating....honey on the soul

Handel's 'MINUET' encompasses serenity. Like Plato says: "Music must be felt, it penetrates the soul and cleans it!"

@@fredgarv79 Well said! For many of us, listeners to sublime music entice positive energy to the mind and soul.
I listen to you every day and never tire. ❤️
my god, what a sound and feeling, the most thanks for this wonderfull play.
Out of the several versions on You Tube of her playing this piece, I like this one the best.

@@goognamgoognw6637 It maybe Chopin’s piano but the performance & piano sound is crude & heavy compared to this.
Khatia is so talented that she seems almost unreal!!
Captures the soul as always. I could listen too this night and day.
It's so touchy...

1:50 the best part.
Very beautiful, and also nice music. The melody somewhat reminds me of "Lettre à France" by Michel Polnareff.
I know it's not the best of source but on wikipedia it says that in fact this was the inspiration for "Lettre ä France"
They say you can strive for perfection but you'll never reach it, after hearing this i beg to differ
2:32 the lonely clap
Legit burst out laughing when it happened
LMAO
Sublime interpretación !!!!!
Bellísimo !!!!!!!! y ni hablar de Khatia.......
When she performs any piece, you listen to it as if it were the first time.
thanks for the sheet music, have been searching for it all over!
I bet you the person who clapped before the end was very embarrassed

this is my second favorite by handel
May I ask what is your first one? Just curious, maybe it is a beautiful piece I don't know. Thanks for letting me know!
Caroline İdil Biret is my favourite 👌🏻

The harpishord score has been arranged for piano by Wilhem Kempff in 1954
the anticipated clap XD
One of the few Handel pieces that doesn't make my mind wander off in search of Bach.
Interestingly, Handel's reputation has soared in the last few decades and many now place him equal to Bach. I concur.
Although worth noting that this is an arrangement by Wilhelm Kempff (as stated in the title). Handel's original is not nearly so beautiful.
Beautiful performance
Beauty of music a beauty of woman connection
Sublime
I love the expression .
beautiful.
People who play these pieces would do well to emulate Kempff's intensity, without which it's pretty, at best.
che meraviglia!!!
Davvero una bravissima artista
@@Stefanox101 Ha talento, tecnica, passione. Non le manca nulla. E Handel... lo adoro!
Magnifique
Heavenly!
Wow masterpiece
perfect!
Her album ("Motherland") reading is much better and subtle.
So touching

No she didn't lol
merveilleux ❤

Does anybody know where I can find the sheet for this?
Read the description of film: Handel Kempff Minuet in G Minor HWV 439 Piano Tutorial.

Thank you. By the way, she plays not exactly, what is written in these sheets.

Who’s that man clapping before she’s finished, estupido
too noisy, shame on verbier audience
I prefer a lot this version: ruclips.net/video/z4TeCW2JkV8/видео.html
nice but so fast........ this is not the right time, it lose harmonics but it's true that playing so fast is more easy .....
This was composed by Kempff. The Handel attribution is a ruse.
=) Of course, not) It is from hwv 434 suite.
Not really. She played it exactly like Handel's original score. Minuet from hwv 434 Suite
Is this how your people steal other's compositions ? This is 100% haendel.
It's been arranged for piano from the Haendel hapichord score by Kempff in 1954
What kind of idiot claps when the pianist still has her fingers on the keys? 🤦
Bravissima!!!!
I hate live recording, people amaze me.
