No knee pads no gloves thumbs up to the youth, he still gets the job done! 👍👍👍
Literally looks like they just kicked a hole .
Keep up the hard work mr average roofer
You know you had a empty box to put the trash in right?
Yeah he did but he's average! You have to be above average to get the good workers
Most fools don’t give a f***
It's coveting pleasure to watch an HONEST professional. Near impossible to find in Houston.
Awesome video, wish more of you were in Florida, leave the jacket up north!
Nice job young man thank you for your videos.
Thanks for zooming in on the box. I've been searching for this fan online and found one that says 4 seasons on Amazon that looks like this. Came back watched the video again And yep I see it says 4 seasons on the box too. Thanks!
Yes they slightly altered their name but it is the same company! 👍🏼
wow, haters galore. He calls himself average roofer; if y'all know everything there is to know why are you watching? Cool your jets, trolls.
James Carmody I just ignore them. They are truly just average roofers. Everyone know everything in this trade
I can't believe you just threw the trash in the Attic
As a roofer, the one thing I would like to mention is never hit a nail down on top of a shingle. That is a big no no. Y'all should invest in a "snake" tool. Really helps get into the hard to reach areas and the shingles don't get damaged. Also I would have sold ridge vents on this job, that is why the home owner has poor ventilation and possibly due to other factors.
I swear some roofers don't get it. Those ugly vents are there for a reason. May as well help them breathe! Good job Dilly Wacker! Youre average is probably better than mostly all the rest of them. Average Time!!!
U talk about the guys who did it b4 leaving paper then u throw it in the attic of the customer. Priceless
Denny Birchfield it’s my families home
Raised that attic R value good job dilly wacker
Most likes are counted , don't see them here. Keep up the good work.....Thanks
Do you think a 12v 3amp DC motor an inch under the white part of a solar panel will affect it?
Ive never seem these before are they better then maximum vents ?
I wish I could work for you and with you for a day to get experience.
Does that vent require a bigger hole ?
Do roofers regularly throw the garbage inside the owners' roof?
J B no, this is my own property. 😂
Puts trash into attic after saying previous workers did a bad job. It happens to all of us. 😀
I need this in AZ
Hell yeah brother go green ,go clean fuckin A Rite. Great job . Brother
300 BUCKS THOU FOR A FAN
I'LL STICK GOOD OLD TURBINES
Thank You
Should read their instructions next time. 10" diameter circle hole required. This thing will run at 1/2 capacity now..Along with all the other things mentioned.
Thanks for the video, my friend, a question: what is the brand of this solar vent? What store would be available?
manuel alfaro Go Green Solar Vents. Available at most roofing supply stores. AMA, Gibsons, Home Roofing (Roof Mart)
@@DoItWithDill Ok thanks
Wow can I get one in the US?
Is it really that much more work to take the little bit of trash with u, other than throwing it in the vent opening into there attic
Nice
So, I’m guessing it runs in reverse at night?
Awesome as always. Stay Average my friend >>>
Installed in Canada, yes? Do they hold good to their warranty for ferners like me? I live in the USA. Also, is there some kind of cover system during the winter when you might not exactly want to vent the roof as much?
Yes they fully warranty their products in North America. Also for winter if you want to reduce the flow you can supply unplug the dc motor inside the vent stopping the solar fan from engaging. Making it just a regular static vent again.
@@DoItWithDill Hmmm...sounds to me, though, like someone could make a little bit of cash making a good covers for these that would block the light, but still let it vent to keep balanced air pressure.
Thanks for your reply! I'm working on a little project for my house. The attic (really just a ceiling space) was built without any eave vents/soffits. I live in a location where the temps in the summer can reach 105℉. The attic, I measured, can reach 140℉, so that's kind of bad. Then there's the access portal, which is little more than a piece of sheet metal over the hole, so that radiates right near the thermostat. It's almost like someone intentionally made this house to be a financial drain.
At any rate, these look like a good part of the total solution (forging a new portal door that's actually insulated, putting in soffit vents, installing new vents on top to replace worn out whirlybirds).
What should placement be ?
Do roofers regularly throw the garbage inside the roof?
what you don't see you don't worry about, all roofs and crawl spaces as well as ceilings have garbage from somebody else's work
we don't have this thing in Manitoba
Haha nice and professional cut the underlayment away and throws it in the attic real professional😂
It’s my families house.
If there's no sun then there's no power right?
in winter this thing will suck too much cold air in and hot air from your home, it's only for warm country
Not true. It will help remove humidity. As long as your attic is air sealed and you have adequate intake vents it won't pull warm air from your living space.
How about the metal roof
That’s sure is a low pitch roof!!
4/12 pitch.
No caulk?
No need for caulking when it's done properly.
@Mike I guess it all depends on where you live, because where I live in Ontario I've never had an issue.
Oh, forgot to mention price and cost savings on these.
@ 3:54 It will start making your house cooler. I guess I'm above average but it appears to be winter time and I'd want my house to stay warmer not cooler
Cooler in the summer. Warmer in the winter by expelling the cold air in the winter.
@@DoItWithDill so if you have warm air from inside the house leaking into your attic, this will draw the warm air out like a chimney. So how does that keep your house warmer?
@@DoItWithDill If it's expelling the cold air in the winter what does it replace it with?
@@zeke112964 your furnace is the replacement of warm air.
@@DoItWithDill in your attic?
I’m confused. There’s snow on the floor and you’re trying to make the home cooler?🤔
In the winter it will help remove humidity. If you have a properly sealed attic and designed attic it won't pull warm air from your living space.
Good thing you had big 2” nails for the 1/2 or 5/8 sheeting. More metal material to condensate. 👍🏻 way to be average
Does the roof got roofing under it's roof? Rookie roofing job lol
Only bad thing I have to say is that you had a box there and could have thrown excess cut in box instead of tossing it in the roof. I like it though
Onix Garcia this was on my father in laws roof. Normally that wouldn’t happen.
Well its better to throw it in the attic than be accused of stealing the customers property.
Solar vents are crap. I had 4 and the motors have to be replaced every 5 years. They all have been replaced with the old whirlybirds which last much longer.
Just drops the Garbage in the Attic that’s not even Average Quality control!!
Sydney Knowles it’s my family’s home 😂
Mike that is a false accusation. This is in all actuality, my father in laws. Sorry, next time I will show my full professionalism. #dobetter
The last guy didn't do a good job cleaning up the hole where the vent goes through. You just cutted it up and threw it back into the attic? Hope you went in there to pick them up and clean up after yourself. No chalking no sealant before you put the vent down ?
Could have done better. Thanks for the video.
ONE Memories Overland Never Ends- Memories this is my roof so I honestly didn’t care as it’s not a useable attic, also these vents do not require caulking but you’re right it is a good added layer of protection! Thanks for watching
@@DoItWithDill I see. Thank you for sharing!
One memories... Hence the name.. Average Roofer 👌👌😆😆
I’m not a big fan of these because after getting oxidize from the sun after 2 years would need to either clean regularly or replace them entirely.
Life time warranty the company will take care of that for you as the panels are removable and replaceable
Why contractors never clean up after they finish their jobs? Lol
Kind of turned off by dropping trash into the attic right off the bat.
Did I realy just watch you hammer a nail using the shingle to set the nail 🤦🏼♂️
