I love you for testing a 3d printed pre production model. The firearm and 3d printing community appreciate someone of stardom willing to test it.
We tested something like this back int he 2000's when I was in the military.
Was a monocular eye piece so you still had situational awareness. Also had a custom scope/sight with some sort of prism so it doesn't block your view down your scope/sight. I wasn't a fan but am sure it has a situation, time, and place.

imagine a pupil tracker which can change modes maybe after a certain threshold it will move the camera's picture or drop the camera for view. like the camera has two lateral ones so you can also assess other surroundings and by simply moving your eyes it will change camera. like if you look down the camera flips down and thr goggles pop up so you go manual mode
They have that sort of system for the fighter jet pilots helmets. A family member of mine helped build the eye to missile tracking for the government

I like how it uses the DJI digital fpv system. That tells me I can build this for myself no problem and for probably a lot cheaper lol
If you want, you can build a version using analog video for around $50, itll work just as well as a digital system since at the range where the receiver and transmitter are at, there should be little to no interference.

Agreed. You only really aim with one eye anyway, so make it a single lens you can center on the sight, and a single screen you flip down over one eye, and just close the other.

Other then some small issues I could see this as a helpful tool within the field though I might be wrong
To save costs, an analog camera and VTX can be used but DJI just has such a good picture quality with their digital goggles and air unit

I agree, it seems like they nerfed it like it was a videogame and game balance is a thing, it should be a monoeye system, so you can have situational awareness and would allow for accuracy too by simply closing the uncovered eye, it could even come with a night vision that can flip down separately allowing for low light conditions!
Or like a screen that comes down between the eyes that you cans either focus on or ignore when you're using it. Kinda like when you look at your nose you can see it but when you don't your brain ignores it.

Yea just have it in front of the scope and recessed closer to the barrel(so you can use the guns scope normally). and have any scoping / crosshairs for the camera be applied through software.
