@@Senai-oq1qp the goat reference in Scripture is the scapegoat. It was the Israelites who used it as a holiness ritual to cleanse the people of the guilt of their sins. They would take the goat and pray over it; letting it then go out of the community; as a way to be cleansed of sin as the ritual would carry the guilt and shame of sin from the community into the wilderness. Since now the ritual is not the Redeemer of our sins but Christ; using goat terminology isn't even connected to our faith in context. The bigger issue would be whether we a s Christians should call any man a G.O.A.T understanding that the acronym is giving glory to a person when all glory should be presented to God; but goat imagery isn't a Christian issue. It's the pagans and satanists that took that imagery of goats being demonic and ran with it.

@@BigStauffJrI absolutely hear you. There's negative religion everywhere. I'm tired of it too. But believe it or not there are actually Christians, and even churches not participating in this and recognise and love human beings fully. It doesn't mean they condone wrong things, but I describe them as being more spiritual than religious. They embody the true essence of Jesus and following Him, not the organized form of religion that exists today that btw, He didn't even institute. I was blessed enough to come across some of these people and groups in my late teens and I thank God everyday that I did. I am very sure I would have become an agnostic, if not a full-on atheist otherwise. I pray you come across the truth too! Uriah was a top soldier in King David's army. One day the King was on his roof top and saw Uriah's wife bathing and was smitten by her. He ordered her up to his quarters and long story short got her pregnant. He called Uriah back from the battle to 'spend time with his wife' but he refused and slept at the palace as he pledged his alliance to his king refusing to go home to his wife. So the king had him murdered by proxy, thus he asked his commander Joab to ensures he (Uriah) dies in battle. This was so that David could wife up Bathsheba and thus cover up the adultery committed.
There was a time in David’s life before he was king, when he was running from the King before him who was trying to kill him *and* the nations they were already at war with. For over a decade David traveled and battled and lived in caves with 30 men of valor who believed in him and defended him with their lives. All of them would become high ranking people when David got the crown because they were his friends; ride or die in a literal sense. In Chronicles in the Bible Uriah is named among the 30. This man was one of his real friends, shed sweat and blood for David; and in a moment of being consumed with his vices David ordered the hit, betrayed a real one- because nothing mattered more than the moment; than the thing he wanted; then how people viewed him- it’s like a biblical allegory for what hip hop has come to stand for… the way Crae points the finger back at himself with this analogy is so deep
Because of this treachery, deceit and adultry, the child died.😢 David went on to marry Bathsheba, after she mourned the loss of her husband. She later gave birth to Jedidiah, which means loved by the Lord. 2 Samuel 11, 12. For those who want to read the account. If you like murder, intrigue, fantasy, mystery, comedy, drama and real life. The Bible has it all!

The fact that Lecrae is the best Christian rapper ever, been in the game for 20 years, 4 Grammys and still sound hungry off a Kendrick alley. That right there shows me who has the real power in hip hop.
This song gave me goose bumps. People don't know the struggle even when you're doing good you still fighting your inner self some people don't understand the walk.
Crae is a beast! Been listening to him since my kids were little (10-15 years) because of his positive message. Andy Mineo, and Tripp Lee, and 1K Phew are part of his lable and are worth listening to also
The best part about Lecrae’s response is that he not only responds to Kendrick and addresses and agrees with a lot of the truths he said. But, points everything back to Jesus, because Jesus is the only way, truth, and life🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 And the bars, wordplay, storytelling (referencing the Bible) and punchlines were ON POINT. lecrae is the goat of chh (christian hip hop) and deserves so much more credit for everything he’s done in the rap game
@@andrewchalmers29 factsss
Lecrae the OG who made the movement. I'd argue trip lee though is the goat due to his tighter flow and lyricism.
KB right there with Lecrae
@@Senai-oq1qp goat. greatest of all time. lol nothing to do with biblical terminology. have a nice day bro
I’ve been listening to Lecrae for over 10 years, he’s literally the goat of christian rap music and always been overlooked. I’m glad he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves!
Facts
Lecrae got a great balance of keeping it Gospel while sharing about the lows of life and the difficulties he has been through/still goes through.
Mannn I'm so happy you gave Lecrae his flowers, dude been spitting truth

Kendrick gave him a shout out. That was real nice. Now we alllll know who he is. I listened to some of his music. God is awesome and his songs are uplifting. Thank you Kendrick. By the way, I’m 67 and this the kind of music I love listening to. I never heard of Lucrae but I do now.

Lecrae has a song called Prayin' For You which changed my life. This is way before I heard Kendrick. Now that the battle is getting intense, Kendrick wants all the forces on his side that's why he wonders what Lecrae would do. Love from Uganda.
My favorite Lecrae song man.

@@Elijuah-tk1xq I’m a believer in god, I’m not one for religion tho personally. I feel it causes too much divide. Almost reminds me of politics in a sense. No agreeing to disagree on others viewpoints, just you should believe what I believe. & to those that do get comfort in religion, I respect it, but I choose not to follow.
Can you imagine at the stadium concert Kendrick does watch the party die then Lacrae walks out and does Ain’t watch the party die …I can see it 🤩🤩🤩
Can you imagine this poppin at the superbowl?
Uriah was a top soldier in King David's army. One day the King was on his roof top and saw Uriah's wife bathing and was smitten by her. He ordered her up to his quarters and long story short got her pregnant. He called Uriah back from the battle to 'spend time with his wife' but he refused and slept at the palace as he pledged his alliance to his king refusing to go home to his wife. So the king had him murdered by proxy, thus he asked his commander Joab to ensures he (Uriah) dies in battle. This was so that David could wife up Bathsheba and thus cover up the adultery committed.
Deep Thank you for explaining 😮💨🫣🙏🏾
Damn.
Thank you for explaining ❤
This was a testimonial piece lyrically written from deep down in his soul .. I feel the emotion, and by Kendrick mentioning Lecrae so many times I sincerely believe was intentional to uplift him and create the best version of his life experiences! ☀️🙏🏽⚡️

The industry is in a rebirth...Like Kendrick said, burn 🔥 all down to rebuild back....Conscience rap sounds like it's back‼️
David killing Uriah verse went over the heads of many!
Many. Listen to his track “The Good the bad the ugly” for better context
David's story with Bathsheba and Uriah is pretty popular
Honestly though, not many read the scripture so that would make sense why it went over the heads.
Lecrae has helped me thru so much over the years. It's been amazing to see

The fact that Lecrae is the best Christian rapper ever, been in the game for 20 years, 4 Grammys and still sound hungry off a Kendrick alley. That right there shows me who has the real power in hip hop.

@@ST-wp9izYeshua, Yeshu, Yesu, Yah Weh, whatever label you want to call The “Son of God”. But i believe we are all capable of being “Jesus” like. The world is not in harmony, but it will be.
@@who_isreece I don’t want to burst your bubble, but the world will never be in harmony. That is, not as long as there are people living in it… Also, there are thousands of “gods”, so I somehow doubt they all have a son named “Jesus”.

I wouldn’t even call it a response, it’s almost like a DLC. It’s really great to hear a rapper profess his problems with the industry and America, without denying his involvement and engagement. This is one of the most honest and mature verses I’ve EVER HEARD out of all of rap. Hell I think this is even better than Kdots track.
it's like a "passing the mic" - not a response - their perspectives on the hip hop culture situation ....got Lecrae's "what would Lecrae do" rap and Dee-1's rap "Call it Like it is".
