Top video. I can only recommend it to everyone who's still learning tacks. Tacks are also very helpful in very light wind conditions where jibe is no more possible and you can still turn with tacks
Good video as always, one tip which was helpful for me was to concentrate on feeling the pressure/pull all the way from the kite down through the seat harness to your rear ass cheek going into the tack. Focus on that line pressure pulling you up and into the unweight portion.
great tips, tack is not easy to learn, you have train a lot of times. but, when you understand the movement, turns easy. To understand better I started into the sand and the kite only. And after you can go to the water + board. good luck.
It's nuts, foil front rolls and backrolls are way easier than tacking. Trying to nail the tack in West Wales, gusty winds, waves, shorebreaks lol Hopefully will nail the foil tack after lockdown is over. Thanks for the tips :)
Well done, it's nice to have your experiences mixed in there as many of us are going through the same thing. Where was the kiting location - looks beautiful.
Great video as always. Any suggestions on how to ensure the nose of the board comes through across the wind direction. Am finding it hard to get the board around - just come in with speed and just carve harder? Is a foot switch easier than a heel to toeside tack? (I’ve been trying the latter...). Thx!
Yes! More speed into the carve. Coming out on Toeside is easier. Even easier than that is a 360. If you get frustrated and want some success, just keep continuing your carve and downloop the kite and complete the 360. I’ll put out a quick video soon on that.
I can already jibe to toe side going both directions but still have difficulty switching feet. Any reason I shouldn't just start with tacking and riding off toe side before adding the foot switch in there?
Barkers is such an amazing foiling and kiting destination

Excellent video. The thought you place into your videos and the delivery is brilliant. Thank you.
Thanks for the kind words!

Thx Canucck. This footage is from Grand Cayman. Thanks for the feedback and this is definitely a challenging step for myself in my foil development.
Thanks ! I will try ))
Great work
Thank you! Cheers!

@@TheOKKiteboarder Thx for a quick response! Tougher than the gybe :)
It looks so easy but so hard, especially on a lake in fluky winds and chop but I keep trying too.
Ditto Ryan...ditto

👍👏
hmm from my understanding the manoeuvre you are presenting in the video is a duck- or roll tack not a (normal) tack?
That is correct. Normal tacks are actually much more difficult with a foil.
first comment woohoo
