Is there a way to use a one-way ANCOVA with repeated measures? Ive looked everywhere and I cannot seem to find. I want to give a rational as to why one way ANOVA with repeated measures was used vs ANCOVA
Yes, you could perform a one-way ANCOVA using a post-test as your outcome and the pre-test as your covariate. You could use a change score (e.g. difference between pre- and post-test) as your outcome and then whichever covariate you choose. You could also use ANCOVA with your time factor as one IV and group as your other IV.

can the covariates be categorical too??
