    I have the same kind of tool but my KMC chain rivet won't give. My hubby already broke one of these chain breaker tools. Bought a new more expensive tool and it still won't move! Err

      They have some resistance but really not that hard to ouch out,it can be more challenging using a small chain link remover versus a good quality shop tool like Park tool for example 🙂👍🏻

    I've noticed the past few kmc's I've had are definitely tougher to engage/disengage the missing link than the sram's I've had.

    I did the same thing, couldn't open the plastic after I shortened the chain! 😆
