I was getting pretty nervous in the hours leading up to this, and it's really sad that kawaii is ending, but I'm honestly relieved now. As far as situations like this go, I think we got the best possible outcome. The threat of losing your intellectual property and disappearing is probably the scariest thing about vtubing. Now that losing that is no longer possible for you, I think the future looks really bright! I'm super glad your genmates will still be around, and you'll be doing things with them!

It really is a bag of mixed and complicated emotions. The best news of course is that Nene is Nene and when I think about that it gets a bit easier to handle everything else. Things could have been so much worse. Of course that doesn't nullify the pain of losing a company, especially for EONIA who built this company from the ground up. I think back to Forever Bloom and literally making history by being the first vtuber organization to have a live 3D concert in the US and that is something everybody can look back on with pride in their hearts.
As we look forward there's no doubt in my mind that greatness is still on the horizon. Fact of the matter is, the essence of Production kawaii lives on in the talents. The company is gone but you all are the magic that made it work. You've accumulated so much experience throughout the years and you all have so much talent and passion that if ya keep yer wits about ya and keep going strong there's no telling what we will see from this collective of kawaii talents.
I'm definitely relieved to see that ya get to keep it all. Let's move forward from this even stronger than before!
Nene..I've been here all the way, ever since your debut, even if I got kinda quiet. I never got tired of you, there's just a lot of life getting in the way but I still catch up with your VODs and listen to your ASMR all the time! This news has absolutely shocked me, I know how much you believed in Kawaii and the amount of effort you've made to keep that ball rolling along. I know you'll always remember, even if the company needs to part ways for whatever reason... whether you're indie, or if another agency picks you up, you (and the rest of the girls) will ALWAYS be Kawaii.
It's the end of an era, but the beginning of a new one! It's heartbreaking, especially after you put so much of your time, effort, and yourself into the company to help it grow. But I'm glad that it's finally out. Keeping such things to yourself is really hard and sad, but finally, you can start moving forward and start thinking about the future again. And that future looks bright! I've been a quiet watcher for years now (I think from around charzu's debut?), but I'm really glad you guys get to keep your assets and channels ;_; even if it's sad that a lot of things wont be the same (like company organized concerts and 3D models) I'm glad they got to happen! watching gen 1 grow and seeing you all be idols was so cool! But, losing some of that isnt the end. I think a lot of chumps will stay watching and supporting . or at least I know I will

Besides some small bumps in the road, Kawaii always seemed pretty laid back by vtuber company standards, but it also felt like you were carrying them and maybe got too big for them to adequately support you without holding you back.
While it's sad to see them shut down, it's at least a relief to know they chose to do so before things started negatively affecting the talents, and that they're letting everyone keep their IPs. Massive W for Koshita and all the Kawaii talents.

Nene you knucklehead. While Kawaii might be leaving, we won't be leaving you. I typically watch you on Twitch, but I'm not going anywhere, and I'm sure almost everyone else is feeling the same. One of the highlights of my day is often tuning into the stream, and I look forward to continuing to tune in for a long time to come.
Through you I found kawaii and came to truly believe in the big vision of this wonderful gang of girls having their hard work rewarded by earning a spot as idols on the biggest stages in the world. It's sad that circumstances are what they are.

I know it was hard for you cuz you've been sitting on this, and stressing over this for a while now, unable to tell us even though you really wanted to. It truly is a bittersweet announcement, I know you had high hopes for kawaii as a company, and those of us who've been here a while feel the same. It's hard not to, especially after so many amazing things like the Forever Bloom and Everlasting Memory concerts. You ladies managed to do so much under the kawaii banner, despite starting from nothing.
That said, I think the best thing to do really is for us to look forward with optimism, especially since you get to keep everything on this channel that you've worked so hard for! You'll continue being your amazing self, you get to keep singing all your wonderful songs, and creating all the other content we love you for, and we still get to be here with you supporting you as you transition into being an indie vtuber!
Hearing that you won't be doing it entirely alone, and that you're going to stay with the EONIA ladies (and indeed the other kawaii girlies) is wonderful news too! As I mentioned, you girls did so much when the company was first starting out, and you built so much of the brand, that I have no doubts about you being able to thrive as indies!
If kawaii had to go out. Then out of all the possible outcomes, this really is the best one. It hurts and sucks, I won't lie. P.S. Loved how even though it was bad news. Even though you were emotional and felt crappy. You STILL VA'd the hell out of that letter from management you read! Between that, the amazing concert and the awesome new orisong you just put out. You've done so many amazing things in the past few days, things that you've accomplished despite this hanging over you. It all says to me that no doubt you'll continue to make your dreams of being a voice actress, a singer and an idol come true no matter what!
