could you add a line for how many hours it takes for you to do each repair so you could work our the hourly rate in which you would get. feel it would be quite cool to see
Yoo love the content man, i am going to electro technical school and i was wondering what kind of liquid is that you were using and what is its purpose? the one you poured when you were checking resistors heating
Freeze spray just as good as thermal camera for finding hot spots. We used to use that back in the 80s when diagnosing faults on arcade video game boards. How much stuff has ended up in landfill because of a 2 pence cap?
God Joey that makes me so nervous, trying to lift the PCB up when it's stuck to the thermal paste and liquid and pads... I've been dealing with that on PlayStations and man it freaking really worries me that I'm going to tear BGA balls & pads, not to mention capacitors and other components that will ping off into the unknown without you even knowing..😭😭😭
@JoeyDoesTech on your live stream on july 9th you got lucky there wasn't a short after third wifi ic replacement. There was a solder ball still on the board. It is 6 over and 4 down from top left.
just found your chanel JOEY love it ... hey joey BREED or dont do coke before a video :P salutation from mexico MATE love it this is better than therapy
Why is the price of a broken PS5 so high compared to a second hand working one? If it wasn’t for RUclips, the time and effort would not be worth the hassle for you. Great video to watch and learn for me. Keep it going.
You are getting to the point where 170 is too expensive to make it really worth your time, except for perhaps the learning experience. You are going to have to start searching for dead ones in the 140-150 range to really make it financially worth getting up in the morning.
@@OldManBadly Being more selective with his deals also means fewer products he fixes, and less videos produced. He likely makes more money for each video. He's doing fine.
I remember a cpuple years ago i wanted to flip broken retro consoles just as a hobby but there was just no meat on the bone. Id be losing money on everything
On capacitors that are not important why don't they build a fuse inside of it that way when it shorts it goes open. Then the device will continue working.
lol my ebay stuff arrived today being a pair of Adidas Speziale's that used to belong to "tommy the tit", a 1977 Bulova Accutron watch, a set of pin punches, a £12 tiniest bottle of Moebius 9010 synthetic watch oil and a rather purple 2 piece NATO strap for my rare Slava Asymetric, also via Evri my second MSI AIO PC cooler arrived, bought a 2 fan that came with no brackets so bought a 3 fan one with the brackets but pump is knackered so going to build a big 3 fan Mag Coreliquid out the two with all the RGB and big 200mm fans going on, to be fitted to a MetalFish open air frame case.
That's insane, just that one cap is all that stood between it working and it not. Great vid as always!
Thankyou :)
It's crazy you spotted it right from the first voltage injection, those spidey senses were tingling!
I really really really really hope 10-in-a-row will work out! You deserve it man.
Welcome to Charlie the Chairs Channel! With a cameo by JDT. Great Video! Sally loves her green. Thank You. 😀
Let's goo! Nice fix and Sally is still happy.
Great fix and diagnosis joey.
We're almost half way there to victory! Sally be smiling!

lovely jubbly, a new Joey video. My face feels so welcomed.
What do you use to inject voltage?

Nice save JDT, defo good to keep the consoles out of the bin for the sake of a 1p cap.
Joey! Well done Mate! Eight in a row… keep it going.❤
Hey Joey , I'm a repair guy and I like you video , keep going 👍

It's the L shaped thermal pad that is stuck - not the CPU
GET IN!!!!! it's joey time!

have you thought about getting hot tweezers?
Well in your country the capacitors are easy available here is South Africa it is a nightmare to get and if you do it is equal to 200ponds
So Happy Joey, Good Lad 😃
Even my wife watches your videos.
You remind her of Jason Priestley ;)
A nice, "easy", (once you know how) fix.

Price for broken one is ridiculous.
It's not a guarantee fix. Not worth doing it for money. Entertainment only.
It would be nice to see an overall number of hours spent in addition to profit/loss.
Legend!!

He likely doesn't care too much about his minimal earnings as he's building a RUclips following and making money from these videos.
@@ilev99 I know that too well. However, in terms of trying to show "how it is done", running it like a business would be much more informative.
I don't know who else is buying them, I'd just low ball them for 100 each

Do cameras
New gloves?
My face didn’t feel welcome for the first 23 seconds 😢
I am feeling welcomed :)

Bunny suit!!!!
Excellent!
Who's Sally?
Are you still planning on ending the series after you go 1k pounds in the positive or negative?
There's no profit in PS5s

super early!
Try and fix something else instead of a playstation 5 all the time
