I haven't built a 32nd scale model in years - I'm presently working on my first 43rd scale kit and the size has been a real challenge. They are good slump busters if you can knock them out quickly and this one is looking nice so far.

Nice 1/32 Cragers. I need a set for the 32 Ford to make into a hot rod. Cool music video with your truck, he likes his truck, he likes his dog, but he loves his boat!

I'm a big fan of the Monogram version. But this AMT kit looks real nice. I may have to get one...Like I NEED it! LOL. And you think YOUR model room is a mess? Did you see my bench in my last video. 😆

"Maybe if you actually built models and used stuff, it wouldn't be a mess!" JK Matt, keep doing you and blowing your face off, buddy! 😂

@@scale_model_apprentice Get it right. I build models. I just don't FINISH THEM!! Hence, the mess bench. LOL

Pretty cool little kit Mathew. I remember when I was a kid 1/32 were mostly snap together kits. I never cared for them. That however looks like a nice kit to build.

Neat kit and truck story, Matthew. I just got caught uo with all my kits and started the MPC Celica Supra yesterday. Happy Sunday!

Just FYI, the early Mustang 6 cylinder cars came with 13" wheels, the V-8 cars came with 14" wheels. The Shelbys came with 15" wheels. Love the channel, love your paint jobs!

The reason Detroit gave AMT and JoHan the good specs was that they also made the dealer promos. Also, Keystones look real good on 60s Fords.

Sharp build and Cragers grow on you half my builds have them. And I want to thank you I used carb cleaner to clean the air brush easy as eating pie!! Switched colors quicker than shaken a rattle can. And MCW is my go to for bodys.

Thanks for sharing Matthew! You've inspired me to break out my 1/25 AMT 1967 Shelby GT-350 kit to build. It's been in my stash for a couple years so it's time to build it. Now I have to decide if I want to do it in "Bullit" green or in red like yours. I really like your Cragers so I may be visiting your site to grab some 15" wheels and tires for it. Have a great week! 👍👍

I built the AMT 1/32 Model A kit about a year ago. Nice little kit.

Base model Mustangs and 6 cylinder cars came with 4 lug 14" rims. I have a 64 Falcon 260 V8 out back with 14s on it. I upgraded my 61 Falcon wagon from 13s to 14s using Toyota Celica wheels. Plan to upgrade it to 15s on 5x4.5 lug patterns when I install the 8.8 rear axle, the 76 Granada front disc brakes and the 1980s Mustang roller cam 5.0. Note that wheel diameter for scaling model wheels is not the outer diameter of the part of the wheel that you see. It's measured where the tire bead seats against the rim. So the overall OD of a 15" rim is actually a little closer to 16.25".
271hp 289 was known as K Code. Basic engine used for GT350s, although they got a rowdier cam and tubular headers and a few other minor details. GT350 stood for 350hp that Shelby figured the 289 at. I worked on restoring a 67 Mustang Trans-Am race car built by Shelby. Had the engine built for vintage racing to original specs by an old Shelby guy, Dave Dralle. The rules required a pretty stock engine. That one with the factory dual quads made 487hp. We found that with a single 4bbl it made closer to 480 max. But got nearly 3 seconds quicker per lap at Willow Springs.
Yes, the Monogram has really poor proportions. The AMT has really GOOD proportions. Kinda like the Monogram 69 Camaro had crappy proportions. Shame about that.

Wow nice looking Mustang Matt. These 1/32nd AMT kits appear to be down sized older craftsman kits. Im not into 1/32nd but i do see that AMT balances the bodies correctly compared to tge Mongram kits. That Ford pick up truck you owned was one good truck. A little TLC and paint would put it over the top. Ford and GM trucks up here in the Pa. area go for a mint. Especialy the '67-'72 model years. Thanks for sharing.

Heck, sub-compacts of the 70s had 13" wheels. I've got some trucks in the stash that I'll prolly buy some wheels for off your site.

Nice looking build so far. I really like the color. I'm actually getting ready to build a 1:25 Subaru Brat. I want to super detail it and I need a under the hood spare tire. Is that something you could print? it the AMT Matchbox 1978 Brat.
