The Senate holds the trial. You need a supermajority to convict. Republicans don't even have control of the Senate, let alone a supermajority.

Yes or No questions almost always need more context because they are regularly framed to make the respondent look as bad as possible. For example "Have the number of illegal immigrants increased this year?" "Yes". Then a senator can go on complaining about that. It doesn't help anything. What could be more helpful is someone answering why it's increasing and what's being done to help the situation

Senator Kennedy is spot on here. I now work with a person who used to protect our borders for 16 years and this individual was so fed up with allowing known terrorists into our counrty he abandoned ship and came to work with me.
