- I tried, I failed. It's still garbage. Mistercraft are not know for quality and boy does this kit demonstrate that...

THE HOLE IN THE FUSELAGE !!!
It says a lot for a model kit when one of the few positives comments the builder can come up with is how sturdy the box it came in was.😀
It's a decent box. I won't have a word said against it!
That's one sturdy box! There is a bit of fun in building bad kits and trying to make them look good! 😅
One essential piece of kit for a modeller is an Air Rifle. So useful for abominations like this. (And the Airfix Scout helicopter of course.)
I just bought this kit, albeit a slightly later one, but with the same problems. When I start building, blanking plates on the inside of the fuselage and a replacement tail pipe are a must. I'm glad I watched it....fore

A great effort with a dog of a kit. I'll pour myself a drink when I stop laughing 😂
Im just doing one. I agree with all you said. Im going to do a desert cammo, brush paint and spare decals from who knows what. just a bit of slap together fun. I have actually enjoyed doing it so far. Try building their Javalin.
Excellent video cpt...thank you.👍👍
Lol, loved the review. I've made the Mistercraft once and well, it was exactly this. The ZTS version is slightly better though with their decals and manual although I used my own custom decals instead. I like to build it as a cheap way to get a lineup of Hunters that don't need to be as detailed. Also the ZTS version is about 3-4 euros online, way more fitting than 10 or more. I'd never pay more than 5 for this mold.
They certainly capture the shape of the Hunter so from a respectable viewing distance they're fine.
Mine might be respectably viewed in the bin ...
Hahah, the first one I made will end up in the bin as well next time I move. It's currently boxed. The two ZTS one's I've made thusfar look alright though.@@VFCproductions
Nice job and informative. However, the model is an incorrect mark for this particular Hunter.
This model is a Swedish Hunter for the Swedish Aerobatic team The Acro Hunters, that lasted one year as a team. The Swedish J34 Hunter was equivalent to the RAF Mk4, and as such did not have the Dogtooth leading edge extension, as incorrectly depicted on this model. Original photos of the Swedish Airforce and Acro Hunters, and original J34s in museums will confirm this.
There is a Hawker Hunter aircraft on the display circuit in Sweden representing this particular Acro Hunter aircraft which does have the dogtooth leading edge extensions, but that is only because this particular Hunter used for display is an ex Swiss air force Hunter F58 which is equivalent to the RAF Mk6 Hunter, and the Mk6/F58 Hunter did have the dogtooth leading edge extensions. Mistercraft probably used this incorrect display Hunter as the basis for their model.
Thanks for the info! Mistercraft probably had no idea. Research does not seem to be their thing...
"I'm part 16!". "and I'm part 16!"
I like how you turned bad kits to good looking kits in your videos. 😃 Its motivation for beginner modellers because you show how to build this not too great kits.
Thank you!
I recently built a MisterCraft kit, a 1/35 jeep and it wasn't too bad. Yes the manual was a little odd but overall... ok. Mind you, it was originally a Heller kit but...
:)
You did a decent job considering.

When are you coming back,my dear?
Wow...thanks for building that so I don't have to.
I think *I* need a tequila just from watching.
Its not that bad (the kit i mean)...the problem is the instuctions and decals
I bet in another kit, part 16 isn’t mentioned at all! Very entertaining video though.
Mistercraft could label a 15 piece starter kit as all part 16...
yeah, mistercraft can be a right mixed bag. I think you did a good job despite the frustrations though! :)
I have one of these slowly in progress when I can bare to touch it,first thing I did was to make air intake blanks from plasticard 😂
If I cared about the kit I'd have done something similar. Ultimately the Revell Hunter exists so it doesn't matter
@@VFCproductions Indeed,I ended up buying the revell kit, thevairfix fga-9 and even the old matchbox 2 seater
i got green swedish airforce insignia decals
The stake would work better on a vampire
The main thing I got from this project was it shows how bad ZTS Plastyk is LOL
i started building a mistercraft kit today if it wasnt for my camera Dying there would have been a massive rant like wtf how can they sell kits like that
Some of the kits they sell are not that bad; the old Heller tool or the KP Spitfire . But it's a gamble from garbage to just crude
@@VFCproductions i prob wont take that risk again lol i had the L4H Piper Cub 1:48
Bought a few mistercraft kits a few months back (f117, hunter in the video, f16) hunter wasn’t good nor overly terrible was just meh, the F117 was better but still just meh mostly just flash issues with these 2 however the F16 was just completely shite enormous amounts of flash parts didn’t fit instructions were wrong and the gaps between the wings and fuselage where big enough park a city bus in an to top it the decals broke apart in the water
Plenty of other Hunter kits, many of them better than the old FROG kit from the late 1960s.
However, this is a cheap way in, if you want to improve a model with after market parts. Buying a much more expensive kit, only to throw away half of it, seems like a false economy.
This WAS modelling when I first did it. Sometimes it meant you needed to get two kits and make a 'cut-and-shut' model to get a halfway accurate result. - and lots of 'super-detailing' to make it presentable.
i take it is "re-work" of FROG design ;-)
Defiantly not testing to see how long it takes you to see "if anyone has commented on my Hunter video"
I got round to it
I don’t know why but I always end up buying more mistercraft just to be disappointed. That being said It looks like mistercraft has bought the use of some italeri tools they are releasing a 1/48 eurofighter and a 1/72 f14 and the can only be as good as the tools they use.
There are some decent tools they have re released. I only have 2 kits from them and neither fall into that category...
@@VFCproductions I think that’s why I keep buying them. Don’t like to think badly of people but haven’t found a good tool yet😂
Really bad,not worth the price.
