"Poster Child" is an original song written and performed by The Wildwoods.
It is a song that reflects upon the feelings of being lost and worn out after trying to fit in and meet others' expectations. Unfortunately, the struggle to maintain one's true self in a world that pushes conformity has become an inherent “norm” for most of society. The lyrics and imagery of bright colors fading and wolves in the mind suggests inner turmoil and conflict and the call to break free from these pressures. In a world where it seems impossible to do so, it’s important to be true to yourself and brave enough to follow your own path, even when it's tough.
This video was recorded and filmed in our home studio in Lincoln, Nebraska.
