I lived there for 8 years and i agree. Trenčin had its highlights. I loved walking on the levee on both sides of river. Even crossed the river once via a ford below the dam. Now there is a highway bridge.
Thank you for showing my little hometown. For somebody who has lived in larger cities Trencin might look small and boring, but for me is an ideal of 15-minute city that offers almost everything I need. There is a lot of work awaiting the city council to make it more modern and cleaner in some areas at least to the standard of main square, but we are slowly heading there and a lot is planned until 2026. I always appreciate a total stranger's view, positive or negative.
Hey! In case you're still wondering, "Horný hrad" means "upper castle" :D I know, the false friends are ridiculous 😀 Thanks for the video, I'll share it with my students who are looking for ways how to guide their friends through their home town of Trenčín 😉
Welcome to my city!! We have more nice places and attractions to see. Those singing people in the square belong to a traditional folklore group in traditional costumes. I used to belong to them too 😁 It's part of our culture and Czechs, Poles, Rusyns, Hungarians also have similar costums, music and clothes 👍 And when there is a "cultural summer" (every July-August) plus fairs, that's even more of an experience. Lots of people, attractions, live music on stage, goodies in stalls and beautiful handmade souvenirs 🤗

Thank you for watching ! I definitely had a good time there for such a small city , can’t complain. Let’s see how it progresses 😊
Oh, that echo was a slick move! Jeje 🙌🏽
Technically that portion of Vah river was still in the city. Trenčin sits on both sides of river.

I haven’t been to Trenčin in 23 years and the graffiti in the underpass remains
This is great! Maybe I’ll visit someday.

Quiet little town
Nicely done! Another one for the books 🙌🏽😀
Yep 👍
It's always cool to see when tourists actually go and explore Slovakia outside of Bratislava.
great video but Trenčín is actually one of the biggest cities in Slovakia lol
"Never heard of"?? Of course I've heard of Trenčín: I've even been there and visited.
