I have always played more rhythm guitar on my acoustic guitars and recently set myself up again with a new Dean electric guitar, amp, pedals, effects processor and a foot switch with a built in vol/wah pedal so I am looking to build my speed up and do more leads. I am pretty determined to get this solo down pat and be able to play it at the right speed lol. I started playing at a young age but never kept up with it and got in to singing more. Now I wish I practiced all those years lol. Thanks again for all your awesome posts!
This is super helpful with the slower speed (I even played the video at 0.75 speed) and with the awesome tabs. I've definitely been punching above my weight trying to learn this one but now I've finally got it down (at about 3/4 speed....). This video has been super helpful, just subbed.

Damn, every time I try and learn one of Dimebag’s solos I find my guitar is a fret short. Time for an upgrade.
Dime’s guitars had 22 frets. So you really only need a 22 fret guitar to play any of Dime’s solos.
This is 22 i think, but he has solos with 24

I really feel you. My family never supported me to play guitar so all I could do was watch RUclips videos and tabs. Then I would try to play crazy solos like this in a cheap acustic guitar.
