Always wondered what Kirk played demonstrated at 3:27 here. I could hear a major sound at the start of the lick. Turns out he starts in Mixolydian and ends in minor. Genius!

dude u get a lot of nice sounding tone out of your rp350..i had a rp155 through epiphone valve Jr.all tube amp..It sounded good..now I have Vox VT20X and it's an amazing amp.

I believe Kirk utilizes hybrid picking to get it more percussive and somewhat cleaner.

I got 2 questions.
1. Do you have any tips for the bend in the 4th leak? how should I do it? where do I place my fingers?
2.I struggle with the 5th leak . I cant get the sound that you get. is it because you do it really fast? should I alternate pick this part?
i can help you with the 5th lick, you have to mute the string a little bit, its not easy but with a lot of practise you will get it 🤘🏻
you really have to watch out how strong you mute it

Can't you play it clean slow in one take yourself? 3 sets of 3 repeating notes, and you repeat the video.
Sorry that just distracts, and your timing also goes al hell when playing it slowed down.

I love the way this is taught, individual licks played at full speed then slowed down with tabs. Much more helpful than most other RUclips tutorials!

Absolutely no talking. The data is so condensed, but slowed down each lick so you aren't trying to backtrack what blazed by. It's perfection!
I struggled with 3:27 cause it is kinda confusing. It was easier for me to break it into 3 parts, excluding the first two notes: 1,2,3,4,5,6 & 1,2,3,4,5,6 & 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. Hope this helps someone :)

I’ve learned the interlude, I can’t learn the solo because I only have a 21-fret acoustic and it’s hard to reach the 20th fret, let alone bend it

Means let er scream. Like the guy said it's a artificial harmonic. Pick the note and as you pick it you graze the string lightly with your finger which will cause that cool squeal. Takes alot of practice to get it but try it
artificial harmonics or pinch harmonics
To get AH needs alot of practise. You can use yr thumb or yr palm in order to get the sound. And u can touch the string everywhere by yr palm or thumb untill get the soung.

Nice, one of the best lessons of this solo I have seen. Obviously there's a lot of layers on the original track, so for just one person playing it. Teaches it pretty well also...definitely does it justice.
