Huge improvement, I like the dusk to dawn idea with also having a remote. Great job!

How have they held up over time?
I’m in the NW and a friend likes the riser mounted ones.
There are some places that would be difficult to access if replacement is needed.
Also can they be removed from the surface?
I suppose there’s enough slack to pull the connectors out through the hole if needed

Thank you for your video. By watching this, I think even I could install them. How are the lights holding up. Are they still working? Have you had any problems?

Could you add a ‘motion detector’ that would turn these lights on from either the top or bottom of the stairs?
Is there a motion detector kit that would be compatible with this installation?

Interesting idea. My suggestion was to add the Fosman photocell switch plug. It would have them on at dusk, but it has a remote too, so they can be turned off if you wish. I have it on my deck lights and love it. amzn.to/36tlI8a

Great video! Redoing my deck now and found this video. Installing before I put my deck boards on so access will be easy. My question is can you run 2 16 pack lights off the same one plug in or would you need to have 2 different plug ins. Didn’t know with the voltage if it will run 32 lights. Thanks and great video.

Glad it was helpful! When I look at the SMY Lighting website, it suggests you cannot run both packs off the same transformer....

Trashy lake and honky tonk design. This is what you do if you are from Missouri, Mississippi, or West Virginia.
