Okay so the paniyaram vessel is known as paniyaram kadai ...u shd add ghee after it is heated and coat the depressions and add the batter .... ur batter looked more banana ish u shd have added more flour

I can’t believe she’s never had South Indian style sabzi and paniyarams. You should really do a 24-hr South Indian food challenge, but excluding the regular idli and dosa please. Try puttu and Kadala curry, appam and stew, kesari, payasam, aviyal sabzi etc. please please do this challenge
Paniyaram is our South Indian tamilnadu dish...you can use ghee also..you can try the karam paniyaram and eat with coconut chutney or chilli tomato chutney..

A quick tip, when using coco powder in liquids always use whisk to mix. This will break down coco powder clumps in to liquid easily
