The castle in the background is where Lord Mountbatten used to stay for his summer holidays (plus kids). And just down the coast in Mullachmore is where he would have moored his boat.
Hay golf mates just looking back over hidden gems as I’m recovering in hospital after brain operation, love all hidden jems especially Ireland 🍀🍀 keep them coming maybe south of Ireland next time, Dublin wicklow, Wexford and Waterford area would be nice to try, and any1 who’s leaving negative feed back nobody’s asking you to watch, scroll on, love the golf mates family🍀⛳⛳😂😂👍
Another fantastic course, good golf played well done Stu
Am I enjoying the Ireland tour with my new golfmates? Hell yes I'm enjoying every single second.
Luv Mr. B's purple shorts; does he own another pair, bloody hell dude!
I am so very very jelly of the lot of ya!!!
GOD Bless!
Donegal ! Arguably the coolest County in Ireland. The only County that drops my shoulders to relax, and escape in. 👍
Don't know how you guys can suffer your way around those fabulous courses. Great viewing with the obvious comradery (love the comments from behind the camera too :)). Keep it coming 👍
Thank you
I love northern island ❤🏌🏿♂️
Love these hidden gems. You boys always make me laugh. Mr. Barlow is so damn hilarious and I look forward to his play. Keep up the economic work. Kudos to Roy for playing so well and let’s not forget the fabulous camera work. Cheers
Dancing made the video for me 😂 great round Stu, you were on 🔥!!
Hope some time you guys come back to the northeast of Northern Ireland some cracking courses
Glad to see Stu playing so well, love the video Golf Mates
I love how 17:30 and 17:50 Roy executes a magnificent approach shot that even Tiger Woods would be happy about. Then exactly between 17:38 - 17:42 you can hear the camera man grown out, "Oh No." Soooo feckin funny.
Lol 😂
I am from Bundoran. Don't remotely like golf, but I enjoyed watching that. Ye are good craic!
Cheers pal
About time Stu pulled his finger out and played to his ability😂 Great stuff as always from all the Golfmates team!
The banter.. LMFAO... Beautiful course.. What a find Liam. Just to remind everyone.. Mr Barlow doesn`t make the index`s🤣
That’s right he dont
Another lovely course and series.
Well played Stu.
What a difference a day makes, well played Roy. Kepp living the dream gents 😁
Love it when the Drone Footage kicks in. Never change that 🙂
Loving the hidden gems.
I do like the birdie drinks idea !!!
Stu almost had another birdie, what a belting few holes.
Liam and his songs 🤣 isnt she lovely is Stevie Wonder 😂 😂😂
Starting hole (6th) used to be a really tough par 4 from way back in the corner, OOB all the way up the left. 13th (par 3 - 234 yds from back sticks), had a HIO there way back in 1991. Topped a 4 wood ;-)
Absolutely doing us Irish proud Liam! But you fouled poor Mr Barlow with that bed!
Thank you
Well played Stu,put the cat among the pigeons with 15pts. Enjoy the brandy chaps.⛳⛳⛳👍
He did
Next time you go back to Ireland, try Nairn & Portnoo in west Donegal & Portsalon in north Donegal. Worth it for the scenery alone.
None hidden gems pal. We all know about them
I am a Donegal man thank u so much for showing of our golf courses
Cheers paul
The drainage on that hole below the hotel is amazing, we were staying in a room overlooking it and there was torrential rain in the morning, the green was literally under water. Went out to play later in the day and the whole course, including bunkers was perfect.
You guys really make my lunch hour a joy. I get to see all these great courses, listen to the mates have great fun... OFTEN at each other's expense, and not think about the craziness of the day.... Thank you so much. Shot a personal best, 78 on a 72, Saturday at Stonebrooke in MN. There your carts are put on a pontoon to the fairway after your tee shot across a lake. Come visit sometime... there are a lot of summer gems here.
Lovely to see the lad take his two Uncles for a day out of golf!
Liam your hidden Jim’s in Ireland were brilliant
Tony
Cheers Tony
Great job, love Ireland. Been there several times. Love the course. Dennis, Fairlee, Vermont, USA
Thank you
Had it all. Stu on fire, dad dancing..and a touch of the old "well I'm with my mates" which is on a par with "well it's a lovely day and I've had a nice walk" Class stuff as usual Liam!
Lol great comment
Great to see the Lads in Ireland.. I love the pronunciation of some of the place names 😂😂😂
What a awesome course, Stu is on fire, bad day for Barlow, Liam still playing steady
It was
These hidden gems are FANTASTIC. I live in Canada, my wife and I played Cullen (about an hour and a half north of Inverness) a couple weeks ago. What a GREAT quirky course. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thank you Liam.
We done a few videos from there
Liam super stuff mate... Rathcore is absolutely unbelievable as is moyvalley 4 miles up the road... Both in meath i believe.... Rathcore is unbelievable for 25 euro a round, proper hidden gem!!!
Have to look it up
Roy was on fire!
This series is brilliant. Well done fellas. Birdietastic stuff, Stu. Putter was on fire!!!
Thank you
Stu played great!
He did
Well played Stu , awesome golf . Cheers 🥃🥃🥃
Bundoran was my home course growing up.. the front nine used to be so much more difficult. A beautiful Vardon design.
You guys made a difficult course look easy, well Roy did. There is something about the Irish air that lifts your spirits, as does your right hand with a Brandy in it. These hidden gems are important to all golfers, it opens their eyes to what else to choose when on a jolly with their Golf Mates.
Great video and series so far lads, the main thing is you are all having great craic and enjoying yourselves which is what golf is all about, anything other than that such as playing well or birdies etc is all a bonus, keep up the good work.
We are that
Stu was on fire! Great to see just a couple of points in the aggregate scores.
Best putting performance ever seen on the channel. A brandy barrel of birdies, well done “Roy”
Boom 💥
I'd love to see more of these evenings out after!! Bet the lads are a great craic!
Never fail to deliver. Agree with you about the course bearing it's teeth with a wind up, but absolutrly stunning layout. Stu, moving day, played so well. Can't wait for next week. Thank you.
Thank you
Tremendous series!!! Looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip
Not sure how far south you are traveling on this trip, but a hidden gem that I can recommend for another series would be Clonakilty Golf Club which is part of the Lisslean estate.
I look it up
Played this course lots as a young lad, great memories, fantastic camerawork lads, what a setting on the wild Atlantic - bring your surf boards next time
Stu showing how golf should be played. Birdie machine. Great vlog, fantastic camera work.

He was
Delighted to see u's playing Donegal and excited to see the next one as it's absolutely stunning, my father was a former Captain there ❤️👌
Boom
Really enjoying the new content guys
Beautiful country with very friendly ppl! You're having a blast!!! Stu spent all his birdies in one round :D :D :D
Christy O'Connor senior was pro there for ten years, and Christy O'Connor JUNIOR hit that two iron to the heart of the eightenth green in the 1989 Ryder Cup against Fred Couples to win a magnificent point for Europe, not that I'm happy for Europe's victory in the 2023 Ryder Cup, oh no........magnificent video as always, and Roy.......superb. 16.5-11.5. Same as 1985 at The Belfry.
Thank you
@@GolfMates must tell you this story. In 1987 I was playing with some friends at my home course in Thetford, Norfolk and I birdied the 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th and had to sit down before teeing off on the 15th. My handicap was 20 at the time.......my putter was hotter than a crucible!
Love the video, some great golf from Stu, good fun x
Awesome content. Looks like a great course and Stu was amazing there with them birdies
Stu was a putting machine. Very competitive with the scores. I can't wait for next Monday.
Some how i never pictured Liam dancing... i was right. 🤣⛳️🤘

It’s a beautiful place
Well done Stu, some great golf!
Beautiful course but I wouldn't fancy my chances there if the wind got up!!
Stuart played beautifully on this one. Showed us all why he plays off 3.
Great video Liam. I have played in Donegal on two different occasions, but never Bondoran. It is now on my list!!

Different class from stu👌🏻everything is tightening up on the leaderboard 👍🏻
Jesus lads , brandy on the menu , I'd never make the tee next day . The craic is up to ninety in the bar . To me that's burning the candle at both ends . Fair play to you lads . Most enjoyable viewing as usual .

Absolutely loved travelling to bundoran from Wexford to play golf. Liam I hit the wall of the hotel to the right of the green and the ball ended up 6 foot from the pin for a handy birdie haha. We had great times up there in the pro and and the hotel was top class.
