I live 20 minutes from this store, I absolutely love it, I’m 21 now and I was about 10 the first time my mom took me, I still have a Lionel standard gauge cattle car that dale gave me then, he was such a nice guy I’m glad to see the store is still going strong after his passing. I was just by about a month ago and aside from being a little more organized it’s just the way it was
Yes Gloria has put in a lot of work to keep it going and growing. We love her and her store immensely. Dale’s Train Station is our home for trains and great company. Can’t recommend it enough
Absolutely love this store… there customer service is top notch.. a great bunch of people in there just doing their best to keep this hobby alive and train enthusiasts happy!
I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Dale introduced me to the model train hobby in the very early 90s back when his store was on Va Beach Blvd. I couldn’t have been more than 6 years old, I’m truly sorry to hear about his passing.
Dale was an amazing man. His wife Gloria is keeping it going and we help as much as we can. Are you still in the area, if so hope to see you at the train show or Dale’s on Saturday Jan 15th.
@@CrossedAnchorsRailroads I’ve since relocated to Atlanta, but stop by Dale’s every time I’m back home. I hope everyone does their best to keep Dale’s legacy alive. I wish they had an online store.
Just found your channel here. Love when people make videos of local hobby stores, especially when they make great deals. I have liked their store and probably will buy items from Dale's.
I knew Dale for over 25 years, met him when he opened his first store in 1987 I think. Was so saddened to learn of his death. Bought many thinks from his store!
Nice Train store, only one left. Great store to visit if Lionel is what you’re into. Small selection of N and moderate selection of HO, tons of Lionel, some Older S, and some LGB…. Personally, I don’t find the prices competitive compared to others with online shopping.
Thanks for checking out the video. Its still a cool place. When were you last there? if you like our content please subscribe and click the bell so you don't miss all our new content we are always working on.
I'm looking at you guys video, and You're Killing Me. I live in Spring Hill fl. Next time I go out there again but to that store I'm going if they are still open.
Thanks for showing us that amazing store!!! It was fun to see how you loved it ALL!!! (Maybe some things you love more than others!! Right?) Thanks again, Cross Anchors!!!
Thank you for watching. Wally watched the premiere with us and he was in love with the back room and post war. Keep asking us to stop and go back, lol. You have a great family, stay safe and have a great weekend!
Shannon Tapia we are encouraging them to do it. If you email us things your looking for, we will take a look for you. Our we can do more time in that area and video more inventory a bit more.
Thanks for watching Dale’s, Tiny Tim’s is also another cool walk thru. Getting another different store scheduled very soon as well a couple hundred miles away. Doing what we can to help the worlds greatest hobby. Thanks for your support. See you around the roundhouse.
Finally made it to Dales! What a fantastic place. Feels like a cross between a museum and a hobby shop. Hope you don’t mind, but I’m mentioning this video in my video that’s coming out on Tuesday and I’m going to provide a link back to this video. Thanks for this awesome walk through, really made up my mind for me when I was considering visiting.
Really glad you got to go! We love Dale’s. The folks there are so amazing. Can’t recommend them enough! Sure please do. That’s great! What ever helps Dale’s be seen by more people. They deserve it! Really glad your liked the store and our video. See ya around the round house!
@@CrossedAnchorsRailroads great! I’m going to have to stop by there every time I’m down here in OBX. Next time I’ll go by myself so the kids don’t distract me!

Dale’s passing has been diff hot in a tough year. Gloria has been amazing solidering on with her family to carry on his legacy. It’s an inspiration to us and thank her for our friendship.
Glad to see Dale's store again. Hadn't been there since the early 90's -- Yikes is it THAT long ago? Gotta make a visit once this virus stuff is over. Say HI for me.
Enjoyed your video, Dale’s has quite a selection of trains and great toys. It’s good to see they are getting more organized. Dales is to train aficionados, what michaels is to hobbyists.
I need to check this place out. I'm with the National Capitol Trackers in the D.C. area. I got most of my stuff from Toy Trains & Collectibles in Manassas, Virginia and Eastside Trains in Seattle. But I have been to Norfolk multiple times and I had no idea. I will make a pilgrimage there his summer.
I live 15mins from Richmond right below it, I never even heard of this place! I got to go check them out! That guy that said theres no more train stores out here is right, the last one shut down in beginning of 2018 and he had some decent prices on used engines and other things, it was a small store but he couldn't keep it going I guess, I wish I remembered his name or something, he was a really great guy and knew alot about all the brands, the place in Ashland is called Tiny Tim's trains and they are very expensive and overpriced! That's the last train store around here, back in 2016 there was a guy at the Bazzar in Chesterfield and he had a whole room of trains and they were really good prices, I came back to look at his stuff a couple months later and he ended up moving out of there, I asked the people if the knew where he went too, and they told me he went back to his town in Crewe Va and that he still sold trains I never attempted to look though, Walts Hobby shop in Petersburg is still there but he doesnt sell trains anymore from what I hear! It's sad to see it's a dying breed!
Thanks for watching, we have several store walk throughs. I guess it’s up to customers to keep buying from them to keep them going. We are doing our best to show case them.
Hey everyone likes something a bit different, no problem with that… Dale’s sometimes gets British stream engines in but I’m not sure if they have any right now..
