Wow that was a mammoth tower was always worried about the height of this one but I still have 25 blocks before I hit the limit. Phew. I love the way you guide us through the build. I hope the series goes on for a long time to come. Tremendous work my friend.

Im just now building this in 2024 and with this new update the 'tuff" blocks are now available! when building these tutorials i found out that i thought they looked better for the roof than the dark oak planks/stair/slabs. this is just my opinion but i do recomend trying it out! it gives off a gray/green tone which i think matches great to the movies
They definitely look great! I also like the look of mud bricks and deep slate tiles!

I think im gonna try this in survival. Once I make the exterior I’m gonna follow a map of hog warts and try to recreate the interior as accurately as I can. Finally I plan on population the school with villagers. The teachers will have names

I'm also currently building this in survival. I started about 3 weeks ago and am on episode 8. I also want to do the interior as best as I can and I like the idea of having villagers as students (plus there is a villager near where I'm building hogwarts). I hope your build is going well!
Plus a lot of big things like the great hall, the boat house, all the bridges, the terrain, the owl house, and the quidditch pitch.

Even though I’m not building the version of Hogwarts you are (Half Blood Prince castle) I’m finding this useful in building my own. I’m doing a mix of the Philosopher, Chamber, Prisoner, and Prince castles. Original training grounds and training grounds tower, chamber of reception, entrance hall from Chamber of Secrets, astronomy tower, clock tower, and philosopher central tower
There is one section of the tower roof that I messed up and made itb4 blocks high but by the time I noticed I was not going to redo it. That's for the great video. Keep up the awesome work.

I'll only be showing the important interior locations, common rooms, main class rooms, great hall, and some video game locations which I deem important etc. As for other areas it's for you guys to make up since there is no official floor guide and so if I show it, I'll just be showing how I've made up mine. And I like to inspire creativity and I like the idea of everyone making their own corridors and linking each area together in how _they_ feel it should be. Inspiring the use of imagination and creating multiple unique Hogwartses based on their _perception_ of what they believe it should be like. I'll be showing some corridor ideas and templates which can be used around the castle. I hope this will inspire and spark imagination for people to create their own unique Hogwarts story.

For anyone who wants confirmation the tower including the spike is 144 blocks tall
If you're building in survival....just a reminder that the build height is now 320! I built my foundation at 115 and was sad at first but remembered they increased the limit. Just built up to 320 to verify.

tackling this in survival is a chore and a half but your videos make it super easy to follow along too. quick question though, do the roofs of the quad just extend into the tower to fill in the gaps?

i’m building this on survival and i desperately need these tutorials because i’m not a good builder. i do however wish that the guy building knew how to count and also gave key details when they were relevant and not ages after when it’s to late

Yikes - this height is something you really should have said in Episode 1.... I'm in a survival world and, thank goodness, happen to be at Y level 85. This could have gone so wrong. Good tutorials thus far. 100% recommend. Side note, thru Episode 20, I've used about 64,000 Cut Sandstone, lol.
And over 71,000 at the end of this episode. I have decimated a desert for this build :)

You never showed how to connect the quad roofs that connect to this tower. But on your video it’s all done and now I’m just left confused

the /fill command is not working with cut sandstone, wish me luck, i'm gonna do it by hand
Can I ask how tall minecraft is allowing you to build up?? Cuz im gonna start making my own castle using some of your tutorials for the general architecture but making it my own, rather than a carbon copy, and the design I have sketched out goes taller than minecraft is letting me go. It only takes like 250 blocks to reach the clouds (and i need to stay below the clouds to keep it realistic lol) and then another 100 or so blocks beyond the clouds is the limit. It seems like you're able to go higher before hitting the cloud line or the limit, so i just wondered if you have a mod or something that changes that stuff.

In this tutorial we have always used dark oak planks. On my main Hogwarts it is grey yes

I'll be doing a tour of my own interior and you can take inspiration for that, however in the end it will be for you to make up since hogwarts has no set interior

Honestly, I started doing the roof wrong have way up it so the top half I made on my own, it looks significantly average compared to yours but oh well 😂

is your texture pack available on xbox ?
No resource pack is needed for the tutorial. The one I use for my main map is currently a java only resource pack however once mu main map is complete it should be available for both java and bedrock

If you're on a superflat world yes. Make sure you are below y90. Then you can just build it perfectly
