Bridging the gap between "A New Hope" and "The Empire Strikes Back", this is the story of how the Empire dealt with the destruction of the Death Star and how Darth Vader discovered that he has a son. This is the epic conclusion to the 25 part series of Darth Vader (2015). This is the one that started the channel. We hope you enjoy!

Aphra is still alive
The finale of one of the greatest star wars series ever put to page and voiced in a way that would do James Earl Jones proud. When this issue came out there was never any doubt Vader was going to win, but how he would do it was always going to be epic but some of us underestimated his power. And unlike Mustafar, he could back up that claim this time.
What really stood out for me was the acting behind Aphra...jesus christ my heart was pounding. I knew the story, I knew the ending but at that moment I believed every fear and sound of panic because that's exactly what it was...Vader may be a tragic hero in the long run but never forget how cold he could be.
All in all a damn fine ending to a damn fine series and as always I look forward to more, Vader, Aphra, Star wars in general. The Force is with you all, and I think it always will be

@@TWDNizzler It's funny I asked that around the time Vader Down was being released, at the time the answer was they were more focused on finishing Darth Vader. Now at the end of 25 they said Aphra will return so I think it's a safe bet they might be planning on it
When can we expect the return of Doctor Aphra? Not a big comic "reader" but love what you guys do to bring them to the screen, love the story and lover her character :D Really looking forward to more of her, especially if it's with the same voice actress! She was great :D
Aphra was a great character 👏 amazingly voiced by Hannah brought the character to life. And vader was nice enough to let her live without being in service to the empire any longer

I’ve seen Vader kill men, women, children, the sick, injured, the unarmed, whole armies, a whole planet. But when I thought she died Aphra’s was the first one to make me sad, to see Vader as a villain. Glad she lived

Before seeing the after credits scene I was going to say: I've seen Darth Vader do many awful things but nothing made me more angry/sad than when he killed Aphra.

While sad to Aphra go I have to admit the way Palpatine showed his respect to Vader was almost wholesome. Building your own Empire, stealing money to fund it, killing all who screw up😊 come here big guy bring it in with Papa Palpatine.

Aphra was my favorite character throughout this comic (maybe because the voice actor did an incredible job). I'm glad there was that extra story at the end.
I hate reading or listening to a audiobook but this was so good and everything places to dialog to character felt just alive

I just felt, in this KDF highlight, the sound volumes seemed more well-balanced than the Initial release. Ep3s character's voices originally sounded somewhat lower than usual but that problem was already fixed in the video above, so I thought, when they re-release this, I hope this version（which is still only partially released yet） will be used.

Kinda disappointing Aphra didn’t die. I enjoyed her character, and which made her death all the more tragic and boosted how merciless Vader is. A shame they can’t let anything go. Oh well, just another Disney thing I’ll have to headcanon out.

Yes, Coda came with issue 25, but chronologically it takes place right after issue 1
Sooo glad the writers didn't kill Aphra off, especially considering how she's such a potentially awesome (and original) character in the Star Wars universe. She even cleverly "Brer Rabbit'ed" Vader! Often times writers painted into a corner - especially when dealing w/characters that aren't around in the film series - & lazily decide to kill'em just because they don't show up later on in the series; as if they're OBLIGATED to be around somehow. She's such a fan favorite w/her own comic series, I could see Lucasfilm making her own Indiana Jones-esq TV show or movie series, where she runs into characters like Jabba, Doctor Evizan, Boba Fett, ect. Heck, she's already run into Luke, Leia & Han, to name but a few, so why not?
Considering the next issue has her back working for Vader in a multiparter titled "A Rogue's End", I hope I don't regret what I said above.
Still, Doctor Aphra seems to have an Annual published later in the year, doesn't she?

Aphra tried to betray Vader to Sidious, but Sidious actually approved of Vader's actions instead. Then Sidious allowed Vader to deal with Aphra's betrayal however he saw fit.
