This is the second video in this series on How to Change Chords Quickly.
In today's video we go over how to begin practicing the transition between the G chord in Open Position to the B minor barre chord at the 2nd fret.
This is the best way to practice changing between an Open Position chord and a Barre Chord, of any type.
This System that I've developed for my students makes this process much faster.
It also makes it easier to to figure out which fingers are causing the problems for you when you are learning how to change chords quickly.
Smooth chord transitions, or changes, rely on you having the ability to relocate each finger efficiently. This means quickly moving each of the fingers at the same time.
But, what comes before that is developing a high level of awareness and control in each of your fingers so that you have the finger control needed to move all of your fingers at the same time.
    This method does exactly that.
It's a step by step process that walks you through each of the movements that you fingers need to be comfortable with as you switch from the G major chord to the B minor barre chord.

Outstanding. It felt natural for me to always try and build the chord from the pinky backwards. After much struggling this has helped tremendously in a very short amount of time. Thank you very much!

I promise you…if you practice all of your chord changes using this approach it will make everything easier. I just wish more people would take this approach seriously. It’s the only way to bring a heightened sense of awareness to the demands created by changing from one chord to another.
Please let me know how things go! I’m very happy you’re going to apply this technique to your playing.😊
      👏👏👏👏👏

Not sure yet if I’ve learned the trick but your tutorial is super helpful, especially about focusing on the left hand vs trying to strum

I'm sorry I'm just now seeing this....for some reason it just now became visible.
There's different ways to approach it. If you go through the steps I outline in the other changes the you would want to focus on the fingers moving in contrary motion, similar to G to Bm or C to G.
