Your transparency with everything has always been a huge reason I love your channel! Seeing you build and fix your own instruments gave me the confidence to work on my own! Lol thanks for help the broke college kid experience thing I could never have hoped to be able to afford!
Thanks for the encouragement!
Man your videos are one of the reasons I got into RUclips guitar videos. I'm so sorry your taking this loss.
You didn’t have to do this video. Hearing you talk about the transparency and human side of your business was refreshing. Do whatever it takes to support your family and give you the life you want. Sponsorships aren’t a new thing just a new revenue stream for you to continue to provide. Good luck.
I truly appreciate your honesty brother, and will ALWAYS be supporting you. I will echo your sentiments, this community is truly INCREDIBLE!!! All the best to you, Mrs. Guns, and the family!
Thanks so much!
your channel is one of the reasons why i started working on my guitars and eventually got to build one from scratch. keep doing what youre doing.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Your Honesty and Love of your Craft, Speaks Volumes!! Thanks from one Bassist to another! I hope you never quit, unless you want it for yourself.
Bro love your down to earth attitude and honesty. More people need to follow your lead. Thanks my brother
Dan, your integrity and craftsmanship is top notch. Please continue doing what you are doing. I have personally learned a lot from your channel. Your custom guitars are awesome! We have all needed to "adapt or die" in this brutal economy. Hopefully it will get better soon!
I do support your decisions Dan, Keep it up and God Bless.
Hey Dan, I've been watching since your first DIY Strat build video, and I've always loved your content. It's unfortunate that the big tech rules are changing so that you can't support your family like you used to, but I'm happy to support whatever content you come out with because I think you're a great man, a great content creator, and it's refreshing seeing someone so genuine and transparent, as many other people here have said. I love your videos and will keep watching, and I'm glad you're finding a way to adapt to the changes. Keep it up!
Thanks so much for the encouragement!
More power to u man!!!
Whatever you do, we will support you Dan. You have an amazing channel and are a great guy. All the best.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Love your stuff! Sorry to hear about all of the crap you're going through. Happy to hear that you're adapting and choosing to move forward! I'm subscribed😀
Absolutely love your content!

Thanks for your content and passion!
Love your channel. Thanks for it all. You keep making them videos, I’ll keep watching!!
RAWK!!! Looking forward to your new direction 🤘🏼
Total support from me... love your channel.
This has been one of the finest examples of choosing gratuity over anger and frustration. Thanks for that; I needed to see that and I didn't know it.
Loved your videos about your RV mods, too! :)
Great video Dan! Appreciate the transparency and look forward to all your future content.
Whatever you do with your chanel I will be listening/watching you content Dan! Go for it!
Congratulations on adapating your plan! And thank you for showing some of my build in this video! :D
I thought you might like that!
I haven't seen a video from you on my recommended feed (or GuitarMax either) in a while, until this. Then I looked at your videos and you have been pumping them out consistently. I am glad you are adapting, and look forward to more videos!
Love it Dan! What a great mindset to be thankful for what you had and are pivoting to make things happen for yourself and your family.
Dan, your positive attitude is inspirational! Love your videos. I'm a big fan of your channel. Happy to see the ads you make for cool products. All the best to you and your family! :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I totally appreciate your very open and transparent nature that you work within your content.
Love your channel.
Will continue praying for you and your family, and will continue my support as well! Love your content!
Thanks so much for your prayers and support! It really means the world to me!
Good luck with your life & channel. Wish u the best. I've used a lot of your info from videos to redo a bass. Paint, fret work& electronics. Thanks to you, it came out nice. I've played it out at gigs and got some compliments to boot. I'm really happy with it?🎸😁 thanks against Dan. Looking forward to your custom line of basses. Have a great day
I love your channel and all the things you do and have done Dan. I appreciate the stance that you are taking and I hope that you will be blessed and be able to provide for your family and still do what you love.
Thanks for the encouragement Tim!
Anytime Dan, I love the message you put out, being a good steward with finances but still being able to enjoy your hobbies/desires. Early in my marriage the wife said I had choose between which hobby I would pursue firearms or guitars (this was 12 years ago) I chose firearms but I really think I should have chosen guitars haha. But I love your content being able to do both.
Dan ! Nice to see you ..its been some time . ..your channel has really grown since I came across the 42 tone strat . The purple les Paul is still my fave guitar build of all time ...sorry that all this RUclips bs is going on ...I miss the good all days . Your attitude towards things is inspiring. Your a good dude .
Love your content. So happy I found your channel. Keep your chin up and do what you have to do to make it work. You’ve definitely demonstrated your values and ethics. We appreciate your work and your passion.
Thanks so much!
Love your content. You have always had great advice with guitar tinkering and I have purchased a few of the products you recommended. Keep it up.
Dan, I love the transparency. It's very interesting to see behind the curtain.
Do what you got to do either way I'm still going to watch anything you put out. Can't wait for you to launch your brand. I'm sure most people who have been here for a while are like me and would rather have one of your guitars versus a major brand
What an incredible look behind the curtain. I really appreciate your openness and honesty and, will continue to support you as I can and wish you all the best and hope you can keep the lights on as long as possible
Thanks Patrick!
Watched it all, very interesting stuff. You have a good eye for design, and your guitars look great!
Thank you!
This is exactly why I, along with all other people, follow you and your content : you're creating incredible video content, as well as being very transparent. I do believe you're going to turn things 'round, as you... actually always did !
And thanks for thinking about time zones for the streams, I'll be happy to try to follow your future streaming stuff !
I have a very small RUclips channel and noticed that something has changed recently.
Very insightful video, especially about the loving making videos.
I'd love to buy a bass or guitar from you, but it's not that easy in France.
Keep going man!
There will be a lot of us showing up for you , the honesty and the knowledge you put out is great.
Thank you!
I only just found you a few months ago and in that time, you have inspired and guided me and many decisions along my path, for the better. I truly appreciate You and what You do!
Thanks for the encouragement!
I'm right there with you, Dan. I've been doing the youtube thing on a very small scale for 8 years, and only have 2100 subs...yet some of my videos have tens of thousands of views. I finally reached the point where I could monetize about 2 years ago. I never made much money with it, but it was consistent...until last November. Despite all of my analytics being the same, RUclips literally sliced my meager ad revenue in half. Now I don't even make enough for them to pay me every month because I don't meet the payment threshold.
The key difference for me is that I have a very well paying full time job. The 'Tube is a side project for me that I started doing because I like making helpful videos; I've never believed in cranking worthless content out for the sake of maintaining an upload schedule. But, for hard working, honest guys like you, I can't even imagine how challenging it's been. You and the family will be in my prayers as you navigate the ever-changing landscape of content creation. Keep your head up, brother.
Thanks for your understanding and encouragement!
Kudos for remaining true to your beliefs while adapting as needed.. Blessings and positive vibes to you and your family. 😎
I’ve followed your channel for a while now and I must say I really appreciate your videos, humour and above all, honesty.I hope you continue to entertain and inform us guitar enthusiasts for as long as you like doing it,thank you so much .🎸🎸🎸
Thanks for the encouragement!
Appreciate all that you shared, especially when you really don't have to. Adapt and overcome is always a great plan!
Cant wait for the brand launch!!!!!
I found your channel right about the time you released the " Cheap Mini Pedals That Are Awesome " video , and have been hooked on you ever since . I even bought a couple based on your recommendation alone . Thanks , Dan ___________________
I will always watch your videos! Your content is awesome!
God bless you and your family Dan 🙌
Greetings from Brazil.
Thanks so much!
I've always appreciated your videos over every other guitar youtuber's because of how genuine and honest you always are. I'll continue to support you, and I look forward to seeing where you take your brand. On that same token, it would be cool to see more parts availability or variances from your shop, could be a way to bypass Amazon altogether. It would also be rad to see you offer DIY kits while you get the full brand ready to launch, just sell unfinished basic components and let the community run wild. Good luck buddy, I'll also look into the Patreon!
Thanks for the ideas, encouragement, and support!
Solid outlook Dan on getting lemons and turning them into oranges, grapefruits, limes, fruit salads, pies, torts, and still making delicious lemonade on the side.
Haha thanks for the encouragement!
It will be interesting to watch what you are building, in what ever format it takes. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Peter! Love you brother
I hardly ever see you stuff in my feed. I will start searching them. I love your work. I’d like build a guitar but have hardly ant tools. As a bassist, I love your “creating wave” style basses.
Hey Dan I've been following your journey for a couple of years now, its been inspiring I love your attitude. God bless you and family
Thank you!
Thanks for continuing on. I really enjoyed you content over the years
Thank you!
Do what you got to do to make your living bro... as long as your honest about it... thx so much for the transparency...
Life long sub here...
I didn't know You had such a good character and heart! This is gold, thank You for honesty. I actually was thinking to start YT channel because of income, You've cleared that up for me!
I've been here since the start and it's amazing to see you stick to being a genuine dude over all this time. I've been watching since I was a 14 yearold musician in my bedroom to having just turned 20 and pursuing a career in music, you've been a great example to me over the years as a creator and your videos have meant the world to me. Best of luck going forward, it's always great to see a new video from you.
This is a great video I would love to see more videos of buying affordable set up tools for guitars/ frets files
Great channel man. I"ve been watching you on and off for awhile. Anything with Guns and Guitars has to be good.. I've loved both since a child and I"m the tender age of 61. Still catnip to the ladies.. 🤣
I was just speaking to my son about this. He just graduated Medical school or will next month I think it is and he starts his residency, and I am so proud of him because he loves guns too!
Dan, I love and believe in the things you do and I’ve learned a ton watching your videos. I’m going to increase my Patreon support and pray that others will see the value in who you are and the good work that you do and do the same. God bless you brother keep on moving forward.
Thank you so much! Your support really means the world to me! Love you brother
Great advice about starting a YT channel. In a way, things have come full circle - people making and sharing videos because they love what they do.
As someone who just got into the guitar building game, your videos have helped me a ton! I will always follow. I appreciate your honesty and am looking forward to seeing some of these products. Especially luthier tools! Thanks for everything you do brother!
Awesome, thank you!
I've been a subscriber since 2017 and have stayed committed to the channel despite using various accounts through the years because I keep forgetting my passwords HAHA. You still continue to make quality videos for us, Sending love from the Philippines!
Dan, your honesty and integrity are, as always, second to none. God bless you, your family and the new career focus!
Good job brother! I want to buy a guitar!
I've been watching you for years. I've loved the content and hope you do well into the future! Many Blessings!
Thank you!
Keep up the good work. Thanks to you I made my first guitar neck. I am so excited to finish an electric guitar that I made the neck, body, and pickups. Thanks again!
Wow awesome! I’ve still yet to successfully wind a pickup!
I admire your work and look forward to your new posts; you're seemingly always on the trail of how to accomplish some task without huge expenditures being required, or with showing how to do something differently. As well, you're not afraid to point out when something didn't work, and how that caused you to adapt your approach or process. It's a shame that some of the companies who get rich off the backs of the successful content creators appear to want to kill off the geese that lay the golden eggs for them by slowly starving them off (the wally world model with their suppliers). I wish you the best going forward, and appreciate your willingness to be frank about the reality of the situation.
I love this channel. I have learned so much with guitar building and what goes with it. Especially when the pandemic hit, I began to build guitars out of boredom and to see if I could do it.
I send a lot of people to this channel who have guitar problems or questions. I may not agree with your personal beliefs but I respect you as a person and the fact that you're a fellow musician and builder.
I have a Mosrite kit coming because I'm in a Ramones tribute band called the Cretinz here in southwestern Pennsylvania and watching that video is probably going to help me with the build.
Hi mate, greetings from Amsterdam. Make sense to put more priority on your guitar brand. Good luck and all the best.
Hey homie, I've been watching your videos for the past year or so as I've started working on my own basses and guitars and doing setups for my buddies and bandmates. Whenever I am working on a friend's instrument, I send them links to relevant videos of yours because I can't imagine they'd even need my help once they've been pointed to the best resource on the internet for customizing/repairing/setting up guitars and basses. I am going to do my best to exercise some brevity here, but it's important to me that I at least convey some of this to you because I feel very grateful for how much I've benefited from the work you do on this platform.
You could teach someone how to do just about anything. And that's a really valuable and admirable skillset you've developed. There's so much nuance, care, lived experience and hard work involved in effectively teaching others. The fact that you have so much knowledge and experience to share with others is a clear indicator that you are a very driven person who has first hand knowledge of all that goes into the learning process. Many times in your videos you will explain and demonstrate the mechanism of your approach to a task, and then you will describe what your personal learning process was like with the task and what kind of mistakes one should expect to make at first as well as what they will learn from said mistakes. That right there is CRUCIAL to effectively teaching a skill. You manage to detail what your mistakes taught you in a way that has the potential of functionally expediting early stages of the learning process for viewers like me.
The sheer quality of your videos (filming, editing, structure, content, etc) is something that I think content consumers often take for granted, but i'm sure I'm not the only one who is blown away by the quality of your work here. You clearly put a lot of thought into how you frame your shots so that everything you're doing is very easy to follow along with because the space is organized and well lit and focused. I am sure that it is clear to everyone following your channel that you are the real deal and that we're lucky that you approached the art of teaching and the art of video making with the same attention to detail, hardwork, and dedication that elevated you to proficiency in woodworking/luthiering (is that even a word?)
Oh right, brevity. You're the goat. You are an inspiration. Thank you. And sorry if this isn't coherent bc I wrote it at the end of long day lol.
Wow this comment really means the world to me! Thank you so much for taking the time to type this all out. It’s a blessing to me to know that my videos have inspired you. I obviously put a ton of blood sweat and tears into my content, but I’m honestly just grateful to have a platform to share what I’ve learned in a fun and creative way.
One of my favorite things about you is your honesty... and that you're a fellow Zoner and brother in Christ. Keep on truckin', man. And one day I hope to support you a bit by buying one of your awesome 5 string basses.
Haha awesome thank you!
Love ur channel bro been a fan since the pandemic and will def be watching more of ur content and supporting
Thanks for your support!
This is as real as it gets and I love it!
I made my tele with your help and recommendations. So you got my support
Thanks for your support!
Dan you are absolutely crushing it.
Can’t wait to try and get my hands on one of those beautiful basses. Would love to tear up the stage with one.
I found your channel when I was looking for my first bass in HS, and saw the video with that one 3-pickup bass kit.
You’ve inspired me to build my own Rickenbacker kit!
Awesome!
So sorry for you and the other amazing creators who have to deal with these things. It's complete bullshit!
You have always been and always will be a great creator, luthier and entertainer. I have learned a lot from your videos and you are one of the builders who make want to make things myself. Not to mention what a lifesaver a lot of your tricks are for poor students like myself ;)
As long as you keep making videos, I will keep watching them!
I wish nothing but the best for you and your family, thank you 🙌🏼🙏🏼
You will make it Dan, your fans always support your channel and content. Thanks for the content
Thanks for the encouragement!
Your story reminds me of what record companies have done for years with artists. YT and others are making profits off your back and those dollars aren't getting to those who create things that give them their profits. I've enjoyed your channel and hope you keep doing what you need to do to support your family.
Good stuff Dan. Everyone and anyone can complain. It's those who figure out a way to keep going that find their own success. I wish I was half as creative as you and others here in the space of YT, then I might be making the same video as you right now haha. I've seen a drastic shift in content that I normally watch over the past two years. I watch quite a variety of topics and people and the theme is resounding; YT is moving the goal post, but don't explain the rules.
