Charlie when it hit Orlando left my neighborhood without power for 10 days and downed trees piled 15 high on the front lawn. Tampa was north west of the storm and very, very fortunate. Charlie was a three nit a one.

As a true Floridian, I legit just nodded and said "yep" after each point was made. 😂 I don't worry about alligators because I assume every body of water has them and I keep a distance. Also a tourist received a tornado warning notification&asked me what should they do. I told them just ignore it. Happens all the time. And finally...I don't drive in the furthest left lane because the cops are waiting to pull people over. That's life as a Floridian. Aw... good times.
That may be because Full Sail is really in Winter Park, about a mile or two from me. If he hung out here, he missed the nightmare of rush-hour downtown (Orlando) and I-4. I used to work at a hospital downtown and even working until 7 pm it was still gnarly trying to get home.
Ok but as a native Georgian who lived in FL I can say the gators don’t bother you unless you bother them - mostly. Because sometimes you go out for a swim and they have broken into the pool cage and are sitting in the pool waiting. Just sayin 😂

I was driving from DC to NY this past weekend; I was driving in the left lane doing 80 in a 65 keeping watch in my rear view for other cars and saw a car coming up like a rocket, had to be doing at least 95. I moved over and as he passed I saw the Florida license plate and thought of you😅. So true about Florida❤and now I know.

In Florida it's a rule you can't face a hurricane sober unless you're watching a small child. If your watching a small child you take a nip from a flask every 6 hours or so.
Transplant and love it. I do get water because we lost a house in Hurricane Sandy, and the water treatment plant near us had issues. Water and batteries I keep, yes, but not buying a bunch of food. I love your videos and you make me smile and laugh. Thank you.

That’s how we found out about Hurricane Ian 😁 (At that point it was 5 days from making any sort of landfall.)

After about 12 hours of no power I began to break out the camping gear . Before I got a chance to use it the power came back on .
