Laura Haack So true. What really blows my mind is when people buy sports cars but then get an automatic. That takes away so much of the fun and feel of driving it.
I got my time down from 24y 4 months to 9 y 4 months. Getting out of prison is one of the best feelings in the world. Especially when you come out sober and stay sober.
I'm not even 20 and I can tell you that's been about three lifetimes 😂 It's true when you say so much changes. Heck so much can change in one year alone, I can't imagine being locked away for 20.
Def one of the things I learned in jail is don’t ever listen to other inmates about your charges. They never have any clue how your case will pan out, everybody has to put in their opinion and it always just goes how it’s gonna go.
@@dovenatale4857 I didnt even know who my lawyer was. Public defenders office sent a different person each time. I saw 8 different lawyers and went from a 10 year plea with 85% and mandatory 5 yrs of parole. To 5 years 85% 5 parole. To a 3 flat. I think I spent more time in the county jail than I did prison. I cant even remember how long I did total but my parole was only to the end of my 3 year term instead of the bonus 5 years you get with the 85% stip. I think I did 26 months in then 3 in a half way house and 6 on parole. Either way taking that first deal is hella stupid even if they got you on camera ! Always threaten trial. They didnt read me my rights either. But it doesn't matter because the cops will always lie and say that they did.
The other thing is, there are two truths in prison. One, nobody will admit they are giving up information to get their charge reduced. Two, more people than not, are giving up information to get their charge reduced.
And they say people with anti-social personality disorder don't have a conscience. "Snitching just ain't the right way to go. It just isn't" blows that theory all to hell. That's having both a conscience and morals higher than the average non aspd individual. Total respect to you.
I really wanna see either you or Christina on the show Survivor. You survived addiction and prison. I think you could survive 39 days on an island with a million bucks at the end.
Jessica, I applaud you for telling your story. I've never been to prison, but I'm 54 years old, live in a small one-bedroom apartment, divorced and in a huge amount of debt. I make over $130,000 a year, but because I was reckless with my budget, I have a tax liability and I lost my car. Sometimes it was hard to get out of bed. I would pray that God would just allow me to not wake up in the morning. You give me inspiration to power through. I believe God puts people in front of you so you know that you can make it and for that I thank you.
Found you from Facebook. And I’m inspired by your morals especially. Taking responsibility for your actions and admitting that you were guilty and to take the time you deserved. I’m proud.
I just found you last night. Someone took your “had a baby in jail” video and cut it up poorly and posted it as their own on fb. I wanted to see the original version so I came here and searched for you. Now I’m hooked bc I’m about your age and had a similar life. Keep your head up boo! ❤️
I'm so glad you were able to turn your life around Jessica. In my 60 years, I've lost too many friends to alcohol or drugs. I was heading down the wrong path when I was young, my saving grace was getting hired by Amoco, they had a zero tolerance policy for stupid behavior, and I decided I liked the work better than being stupid. I hope your video's help many people "Fix" their lives.
I'm really glad that worked out for you. I was looking at 23 counts of homicide from when I was dealing, turned into 3 yrs deferred probation. EVERYONE thought I snitched when I was taken to federal court to face the cartel I was working for. I REFUSED to point the finger at someone I couldn't 100% be sure it was the guy. There were like 20+ defendants in that court room. I had a price on my head, I never said word 1.
I LOVE YOU!!!! I've never been locked up, or know much about breaking the law etc. But damn I'm addicted to listening to your stories. Keep doing you Jess....changing peoples lives one video at a time. And congrats on getting your life back on track! ❤
Upmost respect to your morals. Not many people think like that. I agree with you and have always stood by that when I was running the streets. Lost a little chunk of my life but nobody can ever call me a rat. Salute 1000 times
I'm 19 years old, I've been watching your videos for a long time and I just recently got caught up in a really bad situation involving theft from my job. and I was so scared because I had never committed a crime before. I ended up getting fired and had to be escorted out of job by police in front of 2 of my coworker who are probably talking shit about right now. but thank God the officer let me off with a $65 fine instead of bringing me to court. I say all of this to say that you've really helped me realize that everyone in the world makes mistakes, and despite those mistake I can still get passed it and become a better person. The only way people can grow and evolve is to make mistakes and learn from them.
I work from home, and will usually try to find good 'story-telling' channels, as I can't continuously look at this monitor while working. I absolutely love hearing your stories, not that I love what you went through, but you do a great job at telling your story to all of us on RUclips. I'm so happy to hear you've remained sober, and I know it'll always be a challenge. As someone who is also a recovering addict, I get it. Nothing makes me happier than to see those of us with a substance abuse issue, rise above it. I know your daughter will grow up to be a super strong woman, because she has an amazing, courageous, mother. Good job, with everything- seriously.
Jessica. The world needed you out here with us to instruct, inspire & spread awareness. THAT is why things worked together & you’re not still in Prison today. I’m so thankful you’re not. We love ya Jess! 🖤😘🖤😘🖤😘🖤
Yooooooooo big facts!! When I sat in a cell and wrote what I was going to do when I got out some of it was way off the wall but I made every single thing happen this far. Mad respect! This was my second video I'll definitely be checking out the whole story stay strong and stay safe!!!!!!!
Good luck with your little girl's dad hopefully he does right by her. But if he can't hopefully he's man enough to let Reece be her real dad forever. No shade just saying
Girl I literally said the same thing when i was in the same situation. I'm not doing your job for you. It was especially hard because they told me they could make it go away for me and my boyfriend who was looking at 10yrs off the rip. But I knew he'd never forgive me if I cooperated because he didn't believe it that. I'm not ruining lives to get myself out of a situation I created for myself. Fuck that.
Yet it wasn't her cellmate who got a 20-yr sentence knocked down to 5, which was a HUGE accomplishment that everyone's overlooking in this video: people woefully under-appreciate the work public defenders do. Unpopular opinion but worth mentioning, downvotes be damned.
I have a best friend of the last 30 years. We gree up in South Central Los Angeles together. We called his Uncle "the Black Lex Luthor". He was the greatest criminal of all time. He got sentenced over and over to decades of time but always got himself out with the law. He once told a judge in open court that he knew the law better than the judge because he had been a criminal way longer than the judge had been a judge. He is an old man on a walker now with arthritis slowing him down. He was a bad man. He used to get in trouble and give the police his fraternal twin brother's info to the cops (my friend's dad). Is that worse than a snitch?
I watch all your stuff and you do a great job setting all of your videos but this one is my favorite! It’s feels so nice cozy and intimate. Not like “sexy time intimate” but like we’re close friends in your room talking ;) thanks for sharing your life w us, it’s so nice to have someone that I can relate with, addiction can be very isolating even when no longer being in active addiction.
Wow, what an ordeal! This is the first RUclips of this nature I've ever watched. Thank you for putting this out there (I don't know how old this video is), but I believe you've done a real public service. Bless you for that. I've kind of been there - not prison, but County Jail, enough times, and under the threat of a few years in prison the last time. It's a horrible feeling; I can't imagine being pregnant too... I hope you are OK. Your baby, your old man? I hope all is well in your life, that you are and will stay clean. Take care....
Big props to you because 80% of people with big drug charges are snitching these days and that number is growing daily. Congratulations on turning your life around!
Damn Jess you must have been big time girl I'm so glad you changed your life EVERY time I watch you and Christina Randall's videos it makes me never want to go back to jail so thank you! 🙏
I'm going through this right now over 33 weed plants and there offering me 2 to 4 year's and they said that I don't have to do a day but living the rest of my life as a snitch would destroy me! Thank you sister I needed to hear this. God bless you and your daughter

I really like your style, good on you girl. You did it right. Not often I'll listen to someones full story, but I liked your honesty and your balls. Your daughter will love you for just being you.
I haven’t watched the whole thing, but when you said that you recognized the one in the interrogation, my first thought was honestly, “WAS HE BUYING DRUGS FROM JESS?” 😆
I recently discovered your channel. You have a very real and inspirational story . I hope you keep at it you're probably going to touch and change more lives than you'll ever know. There's another benefit of not snitching that you haven't mentioned. Not having to look over your shoulder for the rest of your life. The people you were dealing with don't forget a snitch and eventually snitches pay. Also I hope Randy doesn't give up and when he gets out he's successful and stays clean.
I did the same. The worst thing someone could call me is a nark. I was stupid and got caught . I told them I found it in the park. I was proud of myself for taking responsibility of my actions.
I love your videos Jess ! I’m studying law/ psychology major in criminology and I love seeing your perspectives on these types of issues. You’ve been through a lot in your time and it makes me feel like I have hope in my current situation. So Thankyou 💜
Amazing story of perseverance and triumph of the spirit. Your message is spot on about using time in prison to make positive changes. You got one life to live. Live it the best way you can.
I love you Jess I relate to your story in multiple ways I’m 19 and battling to get clean off heroin. my father died of an overdose on my 18th bday 6/30/2018 and my mother is in active addiction long story short my grandma raised me and I had and still have a pretty tough life. I’ve been to juvenile jail and relate to your jail stories also but I haven’t caught a charge since 15. Thankfully! You and Christina are my favorite RUclipsrs and you give me hope that I can accomplish anything that I need and want to do I watch every single one of your videos ever since u were featured on Christina’s channel sorry for the essay but sending love you way 💖
I've got six years clean off heroin and eight years clean off cocaine and I had a GNARLY problem with both but heroin nearly took my life! At one point, I was facing 10 years in prison! Scary shit! Good luck on getting clean honey! If I can do it, anybody can! And I was a pretty hardcore junkie! I had a $500 a day heroin habit!
Jess this was one of your best stories girl i was glued the entire time 😂! Im so glad and happy for u that u took responsibility and did what u needed to be the person u are today ❤
Standard is so much better than auto 🚘! I love the lighting! This is the second time I have heard about Forester running down from the shower and I laughed just as much as the last time!
Im so glad you held your ground and got less time. You have shown that people can change... And i admire that. Keep your head up..you are one fierce woman.
Honestly, I love your videos. You really owned up to your mistakes and did your time, and all of the good karma you had come back for you. You have made something great of yourself and something good out of a bad situation. You are a fantastic mother and a genuine person, and I applaud you for that. NO matter what mistakes you made in the past, you bounced back, and your story is going to change lives. Go you, boo boo, GO YOU!
Good for you baby girl! ❤ You did the right thing! That just proves who you are! I'm so proud of you! May the lord bless you and you future sweetheart ❤
Girl, you rolled the dice and you were so fucking lucky. I'm so happy you got the chance to know your daughter. I fully admire you for taking responsibility for your charges and not switching up. Your story is incredible and it continues to be 💖
Wow... Your stories are incredible... I’m surprised you didn’t go into talking about withdrawals, when you were arrested those first few weeks/couple of months must have been just terrible, especially having to deal with all the legalities and the lawyer etc etc... at that point we’re you still addicted to heroin or did the meth replace it? How bad was the withdrawals from the meth(and/or heroin)? Thank you for telling your stories, you deserve a lot of praise for having been subject to the former life you had because of a failed society, and coming out of the other end the way you have. You must be such a strong person, far more so than most of the population.
There are multiple articles about this Jessica! It was a two year operation they were coming for you and you're associates. They arrested 34 people in the ring. Imagine all the snitching going on after those arrests!
That’s not true I’m in law school. They don’t need to read you your rights when you are arrested. They only need to be read prior to a custodial investigation. A court would NEVER throw a murder case out due to something they see as minuscule
omg, at the end of each of your video clips, the room is filled with an eerie silence. I have to quickly click another one of your uploads to fill the silence.
So glad I found your channel! I’m thankful to say that I can’t relate to your past life and past traumas in any way but your videos and the outcome and “lessons” (advice really, must be the mom in you lol
Your story reminds me of my son. He was hit over the head with a gulf club by a new girl friends e - boy friend. He almost died. The hospital called me (even though he was 23 at the time) because he wanted to sign his self out without medical attention. The police officer that called from the hospital said your son's injuries are severe . I have seen people with less injuries than his but their dead. His head was bleeding so bad they wrapped his head like 30 times. When I got to the hospital he was just walking out and saw me. I told him under no circumstances was he leaving. His friend was they and said dude let's look at you head. His friend took a picture and nearly pasted out. My son took his phone and saw the picture and said oh my God. I couldn't look, but said exactly. He had over 35 stiches. The cops try over and over to get him to testify who hit him. He would not and could not because if he did he would be a dead man. They will kill snitches in prison or he would have a hit put out on him. So this jerk got away with it. Didn't matter as not even a year later my son was killed in a motorcycle accident (another story). He was in a coma on his 25th birthday and died 2 days later.
Wow...... What a Story. DISPITE what you've gone thru in my eyes you are a woman of Character. VERY Rare in today's world... Especially in the world you came from. All the Best.
Jess ! Your stories bring back so many memories of mine as well. Its crazy to see where we came from and the shit we did 😩. I know your gonna get big on youtube soon I can feel it I've been here since the beginning n u have grown so much even in that time! I'm a fellow recovering addict n in Chicago. ❤ love you girl

I loved this story. So emotional and full of detail!💝
I really like your style, good on you girl. You did it right. Not often I'll listen to someones full story, but I liked your honesty and your balls. Your daughter will love you for just being you.
Jess, you are a great storyteller! Thank you for using your story to help others. Sending Love & Light! 💜💚💙
I haven’t watched the whole thing, but when you said that you recognized the one in the interrogation, my first thought was honestly, “WAS HE BUYING DRUGS FROM JESS?” 😆
Ilove Mycats me too!!!
Yay it's time to wake up, drink my coffee, and watch Jessica Kent!!! 💗💗💗
I love your long storytimes!!!! 😍😍😍😍 the longer the vid the better!!
I can’t wait for Jason to get out and finally get to meet him !
The U.S system is fucking horrible. I was facing 30+ years for selling marijuana. Thank you for sharing your story. I admire your values.
Amazing story of perseverance and triumph of the spirit. Your message is spot on about using time in prison to make positive changes. You got one life to live. Live it the best way you can.
GURL what a STORY that’s crazy I could never go to prison never never never
Another great storytime, thank you Jess. Prayers for you, Reece, babydaddy and your beautiful daughter as you navigate your new future.
Thankfully! You and Christina are my favorite RUclipsrs and you give me hope that I can accomplish anything that I need and want to do I watch every single one of your videos ever since u were featured on Christina’s channel sorry for the essay but sending love you way 💖
Lex Sloan Keep fighting to overcome your addiction, you’re strong enough to make it.
Thank you ❤️
Stay strong love, just like Jess said “if you make a mistake, you can bounce back.” I have so much hope for you ❤️
It’s much appreciated 💜
I've got six years clean off heroin and eight years clean off cocaine and I had a GNARLY problem with both but heroin nearly took my life! At one point, I was facing 10 years in prison! Scary shit! Good luck on getting clean honey! If I can do it, anybody can! And I was a pretty hardcore junkie! I had a $500 a day heroin habit!
Jess this was one of your best stories girl i was glued the entire time 😂! Im so glad and happy for u that u took responsibility and did what u needed to be the person u are today ❤
Your courage and wisdom is so inspiring !
I could hear you talk about your stories for hours!
It's called HONOR! YOU GO GIRL!! Not many people have that trait!!
Standard is so much better than auto 🚘! I love the lighting! This is the second time I have heard about Forester running down from the shower and I laughed just as much as the last time!
i havent even started yet but i got fucking hyped when i saw “24 minutes” I LOVE LONG VIDEOS 💗💗🤪
Fridays is 32 minutes!!! 💙
Im so glad you held your ground and got less time. You have shown that people can change... And i admire that. Keep your head up..you are one fierce woman.
Only taking my daughter to school could pull me away! 😆 I'll be back! Edit: I love the lighting and closer shot! Keep it! 🌺🌼
Yayy what a way to start my morning, you AND Christina!! 😍😘 Hope you have a wonderful day pretty girl! 😍 Thanks for the video!!!
So genuine and articulate. Simply a lovely young lady.
Good for you baby girl! ❤
You did the right thing!
Your story is incredible and it continues to be 💖
It is so wild to me how different shit is there, I’ve seen people’s charges get straight up thrown out just because they weren’t read their rights.
They broke soo many laws interrogating you without reading your rights
You did good young lady. I hope and pray you and your daughter is together 🙏🏼
I hope so much that your baby’s daddy will make the best choices for himself and everyone involved
There are multiple articles about this Jessica! It was a two year operation they were coming for you and you're associates. They arrested 34 people in the ring. Imagine all the snitching going on after those arrests!
Your so brave to put this out there, i hope your doing OK.
I respect you a lot for not snitching.
There are literally people facing LIFE IN PRISON for murder etc. And they got their whole case dropped because the cops didnt read them their rights
That’s not true I’m in law school. They don’t need to read you your rights when you are arrested. They only need to be read prior to a custodial investigation. A court would NEVER throw a murder case out due to something they see as minuscule
I give this girl mad props for holding strong and not snitching!
omg, at the end of each of your video clips, the room is filled with an eerie silence.
Jessica thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I hope everything goes smoothly with baby daddy.
When you're saying "everyone showing up... Dog *short pause* the canine shows up." I laughed, thought you were gonna say Dog the bounty hunter 😅🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm really hopeful Jason will get out on time! He sounds like a true friend and it'll be so cool to see you guys hang out one day on here. ❤️
