Welcome everyone, and happy new year. For the first video of 2024, we will be looking at the mini storyline of the Blades vs the Greybeards in the events of Skyrim and their ideologies. Enjoy

On my current play through I wasn’t forced to choose , parthunaax died while I was fighting alduin and I absorbed his souls 🥲 my head canon is he used the last bit of his strength to help me . The blades thank me for killing him even though I was never given the quest and the grey beards never mention it
For game play...As a Blade you can gather an army that can go with you to slay dragons...As a Follower of the Greybeards...They continue to give you locations of Shouts...that otherwise you have to stumble upon & Parrthannox (sp) helps you increase the effect the more useful shouts.
I always pick the graybeards when i learn that the blades only gives dragons locations like bruh it would be tempting if i havent killed at least 10 or so dragons and is stacked with dragon souls by the time the choice comes up

the blades only care about their own growth of power and sticking it to the dominion, the dragonborn and his opinions don't matter unless its blindly following them. of course stopping the thalmor is objectively good but they have some issues to work out
the greybeards seek you to find wisdom, they don't forbid you from fighting dragons or fighting for what you believe in but actions must be tempered with thought. they recognize the hubris of the blades and dont want the dragonborn to fall to it. of course the rewards for them arent as great either and perhaps they could be more open minded about other things
