  • I believe this is the earliest live recording of the Bat Out Of Hell II announcement Meat gave on stage from 1989 until 1991. The release date was never accurate in these announcements as the album took far longer than anyone was expecting, but anyway I thought I'd post this one as it's one of the best quality recordings of this song live from World Tour 89', it was sadly cut from the set in World Tour 90' and wouldn't reappear until the Bat Out Of Hell II Tour in 1993, here's a small excerpt from a Washington Post article written up about the concert published 2 days after the show;
"And before he left the stage, Meatloaf revealed that in September he's going to collaborate with "Bat" songwriter Jim Steinman for the first time in 10 years. New material is finally on the way."
Recorded March 21st 1989 at The Bayou, Georgetown, D.C.
Lead Vocals - Meat Loaf [RIP]
    Lead Vocals - Elaine Goff
Lead Guitar, Vocals - Pat Thrall
    Bass, Vocals - Steve Buslowe
    Drums - Chuck Burgi
    Keyboards, Vocals - Martin Gerschwitz
    Backing Vocals - Amy Goff

An impressive version of heaven can wait and a powerful picture in blue.
Blue tears for this man. Steinman said once: he jump to the stage like an animal and then act like a prince.
Rest in Olympus of Gods forever.❤️🙏🏻❤️

I wish I were one of the first people to hear such an announcement. They were very lucky ❤

Well well it's about time..... 😊 glad to see that you're alive. I take it there's more songs from this particular gig, maybe a paradise or even a dead ringer maybe. A nice video to end my weekend. Keep them rocking and thanks 👍👍.

      The bootleg goes as follows:
      -Frying Pan (sadly incomplete)
      -Masculine
-Took The Words (annoyingly cuts right before the transition into Dead Ringer, and Dead Ringer starts about 2 seconds after the intro... absolute nightmare to edit hence the full show will be posted at a later date...)
      -Dead Ringer
      -Midnight
      -All Revved Up
      -Heaven Can Wait
      -Bat Out Of Hell
      -Paradise (22 minutes!)
-Rock 'N' Roll Medley (18 minutes!)
I'll post the full thing soon enough on the other channel, gonna work through random shows that haven't been released yet first (I suppose it counts as one so it may pop up sooner than expected)
