I love this duo!!!! ❤❤❤❤ Hey Jade!!! I was at $331k now I’m at $269k in 19 months. I’m going to be debt free in due time!! 💪🏾
Yaaassss u got this!!
Great work, stay strong!
YO LETS GOOOOOOO!!!
Much better than Rachel. She constantly talks over her dad. He is the one we tune in for.
Appreciate yall. It’s not easy! But they say it’s worth it
I'm praying for the 21-year-old whose dad just passed away and left her the house and inheritance. I pray she seeks some help from someone who isn't going to take advantage of her. God, please help her through this transition.
Dave would have set her up with a team member to help her learn to pay to stay in the home. Dave would help her for free . She just needs someone to help her pay the normal daily bills
I'm an absolute dog lover but there's absolutely no way in paying 20k to keep him alive.
Absolutely. I love dogs too. I have an 11 year old pit bull. He’s getting slower himself. It breaks my heart to say it but that Great Dane has lived longer than any Great Dane I’ve ever seen.
I literally teared up for Candice and Raphael. I love this for them, they give me hope!🎉
In January 2024 I decided to snowball and payoff the only debt I had which was my mortgage balance of $212,000. The balance today is $168,000. Super proud of myself and looking to be 100% debt free in 2027.
Username checks out
My dad always said, a fool and their money are soon parted.
Correct…Brian is a fool. Cheating on his wife with a fake online relationship by draining the 401k to do so. His wife found out, divorced him and was awarded whatever could be salvaged from his foolish decision making!
I love that the guy in the first debt free scream''s hard part of getting all in was wanting to get things for his wife....this is me too.
Gifting is clearly your love language and that just shows you love your wife very much.
this first story is just unreal. what a painful lesson to learn but you've got to keep your head on your shoulders out there
Lady with the inherited house. Get a Roomate!
The longer I listen to their advice I'm screaming. Again wish Dave was there to guide her!!
100% agree with George on pets. My husband and I have a budget for each dog based of age/quality of life. It's good to budget before something happens, the emotions take over and we end up spending thousands for just a couple more months of life. It's not selfish, it's reasonable.
George and Jade, you are awesome! Always solid advice!!!
Desiree, keep the house. Sell the jeep (keep the cheaper car) that would cover the cost of running the house for a year. Get a couple of roommates if you need. Don't sell the house now. I don't understand why they told you to do so, since one of the Ramsey rules is that you should not make major decisions within 6 months (preferably a year) after your dad passed. It's too early to make such decisions. You don't need to be in a rush. Take all the time you need
exactly! she needs to do everything possible to stay in that house.
Well I just got my feelings hurt. I'm sitting here at my desk in my knotty-pine dining room next to my kitchen that has Formica counter tops. I had just about convinced myself that I wasn't a dinosaur! I have been listening to Dave Ramsey for about 20 years and I am totally debt free and I actually could afford right now to solve the question of the Formica counters and my knotty-pine walls but honestly they really don't bother me. But then I still have a wall telephone in my kitchen too and yes, it still works so having that wall phone doesn't bother me either. I may be the only person left on the planet who doesn't own a cell phone.
Which member of the Ramsey crew was it who said something like, "If you are thinking of making a purchase, ask yourself if you would make this purchase if you knew no one would ever see it." I love that but honestly my archaic kitchen doesn't bother me even though people sometime see it. I don't mind being archaic and I have never much concerned myself with whether other people liked my stuff. I guess that's one hold-over from being raised in extreme poverty. I got used to having things that most people didn't much like and NOT having things that they DID like.
I'm actually joking about my feelings being hurt. I sort of got a chuckle out of it because it reminded me of those bumper stickers on old beat-up cars that say, "Don't laugh. At least it's paid for", and I have the same thought about my archaic kitchen, at least it's paid for. Speaking of old beat-up cars, I am driving a 16-year-old car and that doesn't bother me either. My car may be old but again, it's paid for and as far as I know it has nothing wrong with it so along with my Formica counters and my knotty-pine walls, I'm just keeping it. Maybe I should change my name to T-Rex!
Eh, my pops bought a retirement home in Fl back in 1994 and hasn't updated anything inside since. He also doesn't care.
you are content and that is priceless. enjoy!
My kitchen is from the 80s and from the 80s it's staying! Helps that the 80s were my grade school years😂😂😂
I love your post so much, and for so many reasons. All I know is that if you wait long enough you’re going to notice everything coming back around again. Someday a younger person will decide that it’s more sensible to stick a phone on the wall rather than idiotically carrying it around everywhere. Who knew? People will be tired of granite and formica will be retrieved from some obscure dump and everyone will want it - the newest trend ever….and for goodness sake hang onto that knotty pine; repurposed timber of every kind is highly sought after. If anyone finds out you have a home brimming with it, look out. 🤫😃😂
❤knotty pine
THANK YOU for explaining the difference between whole life and term life.
Frenchies are "born broken" largely in part to the amount inbreeding that has been done in order to keep the Frenchie traits which only creates more issues.
Ms. Jade, the reason your vet requires your Rottie to be seen every 6 months for a renewal of the eye drops is to make sure the prescription does not need to be changed or if any thing additional needs to be done for him. It is also a part of maintaining the Veterinarian/Patient/Client relationship. Your vet is trying to provide you and your Rottie what we, in the veterinary field, call Best Medicine. :)
Vets are definitely scam operations. Dated a girl that got paid minimum wage to wand over dogs with a stimulator. She had no training or certification, the vets charged $1500 for the procedure. That clinic is the #1 rated in the state.
Complete scam industry. Classic ‘you NEED us to offer X, so we’ll coax you into paying out the ass for YZ by saying you need that to’
These two act like they are experts in every facet of life. They have a lot to learn... especially humility.
Buying 2 Frenchies is a bad idea. Don't shop, adopt. Save a life and save money, get a rescue dog.
Absolutely @@Nigriff
For real. My human doctor makes me come in 2x a year for a prescription renewal because she wants to do bloodwork, check blood pressure, ask about symptom changes, etc. My cat's vet sees him every few months to check up on his diabetes (to make sure it's still in remission, quick check for free most times and a paid long term test once or twice a year) and asks if we want a scan every so often to make sure his cancer is still in remission.
Dont sell it girl, you got a paid for home, alot of people only dream of this.
I don’t like the advice they gave her. I understand she’s going through a rough time and unimaginable things, but at 21 you need to be making more money than that if you’re not going to school. I could be wrong but it also sounded like that jeep was way to expensive for her income (paid off or not), and goes against anything on wheels being less than 50% of your annual income. She would be much better off selling the jeep and keeping the bmw “that’s not worth very much.”
Agreed. Rent out a room or 2 if needed
@@thekmtcproyes she is already talking about becoming a roommate 🤷🏻♀️
Ive been watching dave ramsey show too many times, sometimes I kinda know already what the host will answer to the caller lol
They are predictable
Love this duo every time 😊
It's funny to think that most everyone starts off Davish, then decide enough is enough and go at it hard.
George has made 2 of the worst investments in cars and dogs. Teslas do not retain their value and expensive French Bulldogs are prone to health issues. Save a life, adopt a dog.
George is a Networth Millionaire !!!
I'm sure he bought his dog and car with the knowledge that neither were 'investments'
As the legendary character Ryan from Malibu's Most Wanted once stated: ...Don't be hatin' !!!!!
Nate. Don’t pursue this relationship. If she wanted to be around you, she wouldn’t be moving 9 hours away. I know she’s saying she wants you to go with her, but she’ll just dump you once you get settled. Yes, it sucks. Please don’t do it. Don’t listen to what they say. Watch what they do.
"We got a small inheritance" -Becky
"How much?" -Jade
"$500,000" -Becky
🤔🤣🤪🙄🤯
That’s extremely old for Great Dane …20k already ,10-12k anticipated more expenses. She could have 1/2 her debt paid off.
“We are on a lake right now but we’d rather be in the ocean! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣☠☠☠ I love Mrs. “. I spend and my husband pays…” bless her heart. Interest is so low….like $500 a month. Aww…sweetie.,🤣
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
I did not hear any taking of responsibility from the first caller. I liken stuff like that to a gambling addiction. If a scam gets someone once, ok, but repeatedly sending money to something and then blaming them is not entirely fair. I have an ex who did similar things, and he is still doing them in one form or another.
Desiree needs a good roommate to move into that house with her and help pay the bills.
Surprised they didn't mention that
So sorry Brian to hear this. I wish you the best in the future.
Sorry, why…He did it to himself. Crypto-ROMANCE means he was trying to cheat on his wife with an online romance interest. His wife found out, divorced him, and he had to pay her 98K alimony on top of losing their retirement money he spent for online infidelity.
I thought that too, but sine Jade and George made no comment I thought I must have pieced it together wrong.
George and Jade are hilarious together!
I agree with George and Jade about Priscilla’s call; It was definitely exhausting, and a few other things. I wish Dave had been at the desk today, because he would have cut Right through it.
Half way through I was thinking, " What's your Question Priscilla, how can they help you today?" Lol
I can't believe they make so much money, but still owe a family member 20k
Love the couple on debt free🥰🥰🥰
Taxes and insurance etc will be the same as rent. She should keep the house
Don't forget maintenance costs that can be very expensive and sometimes unexpected.😦
Couldn't pay me to live on the Ocean 😂
I struggle with spending money now too. I talk myself out of something I need. I had a decades old mattress, and had to talk myself into buying a new one. I still feel guilty about it! When I spend out of my sinking funds, I have to instantly replenish as fast as I can so I feel "okay" about the fact I used it.
Know who you are sending money to.
I don't think what Jade said was so wrong about pets. It's about quality of life for them and it can be tough to know when to end the pain for them.
Woohoo! 🎉 Congratulations!
George does a great Dave imitation
I thought I had some issues but then I listened to caller 1. Poor guy.
I am a student in college distant education, I studied my whole life. I invested in high end art, and received a tenth of the value for it after twenty years. Also, I have a doctor´s appointment every two months. Right now, I get a hundred twenty dollars a month, and other bills including health care are payed by my father. I am forty three years old. I do texts for a few editors, but have not collected any money.
Kristi Noem has a solution for those pet expenses...
I would like a "small" inheritance of half a million 😂😂😂
It's crazy to hear "it's possible" from folks making over 200,000 annual income 😂
Right one of the callers said they make 300 like bro it’s not difficult to pay stuff off with that much income
Yeah if I was making 200k debt isn't the problem those dummies are the problem
But they are still kinda right. What is making it impossible to make that same income?
@@chickendoodles3566 that's why I'm buying Ken's book among others. I have not been dealt as good a hand as 99% of their callers/stories. I also live in the highest cost of living state in USA. We shall see.
@@Beliefacy I can def relate with the high cost of living here in NJ lol. but yeah I am on that same grind to make more too, I have my 4th round interview for a solid job today so hopefully that goes well and there arent more after that lol.
Good luck on your journey to make more as well, and surely tell me how that book turns out :D God Bless.
There are resources for scam victims. What I wonder is if his bank ever called him about the transactions. So many scam victims lie to their banks when they try to warn them about a potential romance scam, ..or they will get angry and say it’s their money and they can do what they want.
When I worked in this part of the fraud industry, so many times I’ve tried educating ‘victims’ and they were stubborn and embarrassed. Hopefully, he recovers.
1:45:50 Good advice toward HSA for Sara in Texas after both spouses hit with Breast Cancer dx. They were well prepared after paying off house and have 900K savings.
Yaaasssss! My two favs ❤️❤️❤️
1:27:29 Jade salutes the boyz
Gosh dang I need to call in
Yes! My 2 favorite!!!
What is a crypto romance scam???
They start the relationship online as a romantic interest then bring up that they know about investing in crypto…then offer to help the mark ’set up’ a wallet/account but it’s directed to an offshore one
A very foolish person who was trying to step out on his wife.
@@eightiesaddictone9063 hence the divorce.....she left his cheating/broke ass.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 congrats to the debt-free scream couple!!!!
Rachel you look marvelous!!
Got it x
That credit card debt from her father does not need to be paid off. A lawyer will tell you the same thing.
Send death certificate to the credit card company, you don’t have to pay anything
You’re both correct, IF there were no assets in the estate. That’s not the case in that call.
I think George gave bad advice on this one. Dave always says, what you own is good for what you owe. If his estate didn't have any assets the statement would be true, but she has a house and 2 cars.
False, his estate is responsible and the credit card company will file against the estate. All debt must be paid before money is distributed to heir. I was the executor of my dad’s estate and responsible to pay all bills.
George!
Why in the first place was he on this site? Romance ? hookup and they took your money.
So - I am listening to the story about having to let go of the house and move forward. Can someone explain to me like I am 5 - if I know that the day may come where my husband and I need a bigger house, should I still be focusing on paying it off ASAP or should I be saving money on the side to cash pay a bigger house one way on top of the sale of my current home?
We don't expect to leave this house for quite some time, but know the day may come!
You should still pay it off ASAP, even if you might move one day. Good luck to you.
Keep the house and rent a room to someone or sell it and buy a townhouse that costs less
George at 1:35:44 😂
Pet insurance has saved me around 15k and only costs me about 500/yr
1:58:52 Becky in Kansas City just called half a million a small inheritance 🤔
It's all perspective. 500k isn't anything to sneeze at, but I wouldn't consider it large, either. I understand to others, it's a huge amount of money. Everyone is different.
@@bettedavis9261 No matter her personal net worth or income, someone else essentially gave her $500k of their own money and she called it small.
@@danieltik well, I guess she considers that small. Good for her that she considers it a small amount. She also said they've paid off about 2/3 of their house and have $290,000 remaining on the mortgage, which translates to roughly a $900,000 house. They must be relatively higher income earners. I don't see $500,000 as a large inheritance, either. 🤷🏼♀️ But hey, you do you. We're all in different circumstances.
28:00 simp 😂😂😂 she didn’t even say thank you after his lil speech lmao
Both of the debt-free screams today featured some very subservient men.
Living in a paid off RV beats giving $20k to some greedy landlord every year.
The problem comes because very few RVs are paid off.
And his wasn't ......
I have paid off RV and Camper!
House on the ocean? Honey you ever been through hurricanes? I sure wouldnt do spend my money on one. Just rent one for a vacation and leave. Hurricanes are devestating in every way.
I have. Just had my 5th online dating scam trying to get $ from me! I am starting to lose my faith in the possible opportunity to have a real honest relationship with aman.
Try to find a man in real life. Church, library, dog walking groups etc. get off the internet! Bunch of creeps on there too! Stay safe.
Stay off internet. Invest in activies, causes, you care about. Volunteer. You may meet someone like minded.
I’m sorry, but the first dude should’ve called an emotional support hotline not the Dave Ramsey show
The guy whose parents decided the gift of a car is no longer a gift and they want him to take over payments since he got married is absolutely punishment. How dare he marry a woman from another country and not one of "them" . Totally obvious and shameful. The car an keys would be sitting in their driveway the day they suggested this. A driveway he and his new wife should never park in again. What horrible bigots and control freaks
Where is today's show?
Should put time stamps
25:06 Jade knows who got that something
I’m sorry, but $20k+ to take care of an old dog is insane.
With the husband and wife both having breast cancer, I wonder if there is some environmental/dietary factor going on.
marrying someone and paying off their debt when u could just be enjoying ur life alone 😂😂😂 then she leaves u
1:58:00 she thinks a $500K inheritance is small? I cannot even fathom being this privileged…
Jadeand george talk so fast about the life insurance I couldn't understand them
Forgive me but what if a crypto romance scam?
Man this first guy. like I just don't understand how this happens. Even if my wife came to me wanting to invest large sums on money in Crypto or something, I'd say no. lol Like this man gave up a quarter million to someone he hardly knew.
Classic second disaster. He is vulnerable going through a divorce, in desperate need to recover, prove self, pride was devastated. The scam probably let him score small wins to build trust, then SLAM. We are to be sX careful when we are wounded.
Jade 🎉🎉🎉🎉 my fav 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Crypto is a SCAM!
actually, it's not.
Need jade and Ken back together
Tons of commercials
Pensacola is not on the ocean... it's the Gulf of Mexico.
Which is still part of the ocean in grand scheme of things.
😂that area has severe hurricanes.
the crypto scam guy needs to file a complaint with the fbi
Better Help sells user data and is wrapped up in many other scandals. Please stop endorsing them.
They'll stop endorsing Better Help when Better Help stops paying RS for the endorsement. The same with any of their advertising.
Very beautiful couple.
George! I'm disappointed. bring in 2 roommates and charge them $575 per month.
Desiree, I"m wishing you well.
You get a lot of criticism about your book (baby steps) being US centric. Watched many shows. You do soo much. Write something UK or EU centric.
Damm tumbnail. I wanted Dave.
Crypto 😂😂😂😂 dude got screwed!!!!
1:47:45 how much are you investing you’re gonna laugh $50,000 a year.
But I’m drowning ….
No one’s laughing … pure idiocy
Jade doesn't know much about cars. That old BMW could be worth quite a bit of money.
If you have a mortgage, you aren't debt free.
Consumer debt free ...mortgage is good debt remember ...it's an asset that can be sold!
If I have 100k mortgage but 400k in equity I've got 300k net worth. Don't know many people that would argue about that being a positive position.
No hate but is Jade sitting in Dave's spot and dressing like him? 😅
2.5yrs to get out of 90k debt and interest building with 80k income? Ermm, idk about that, maybe lucky to be out in 5yrs.
If you live on 40k (or less) a year, that pretty much takes care of it. Maybe not easy for someone used to living on 80k plus, but certainly doable.
Totally Doable
Jade 100% a scam lol Tell them to write the prescription
Hot. I am Davish right now
The first caller couldn't have been stupid enough to empty his retirement funds and everything for a "fake website". He hid all of his money in crypto to not give anything to his ex wife. And I don't blame him!
Jade lost my respect today. Not willing to take her old dog to vet twice a year. To reevaluate eye issue. Just wow....
Nate, women don’t move away to be closer with their boyfriends. Your relationship has run its course.
Let her go stay get your accounting degree find a job and stay on your grind. If she loves you she will come back.
Don’t chase her don’t propose don’t follow her. BTW you shouldn’t be getting married until your late 20’s early 30’s. People change a lot in their early 20’s. You may find that you and your girlfriend are not compatible in five years.
What a foolish man to get scammed
Shame on you, it happens every day, its tragic, and traumatic.
i have a hard time feeling bad for someone who was married who got "romance scammed". that's just called you get what you deserve. what a waste of a call
Why do you say that?
That's harsh...u don't have all the info...and r too quick to judge. At the end of the day, that's a fellow human who has possibly had his life drained away...why not reserve the harsh opinions mate
What a waste your comment was. Are have been scammed out of trillions, shame on you
