Not to be dramatic but I really love how much of your channel is dedicated to celebrating and appreciating your friends and family. I really can’t personally think of any other gaming channels that naturally highlight it the way you do and it’s just a great thing to see on the internet

I remember around when kim first started appearing on the show, she shared some of her video game memories, which included donkey Kong country on snes, a bowling game on N64, and Halo on Xbox. Look at her now. Enough experience to do an entire episode on the RPG's she's finished alone. It was great hearing Kim and John get nostalgic together.
You're not kidding. Those endless hallway dungeons filled with random encounters piss me off! Which is why I think I'm not enjoying Metaphor as much as I thought I would. The dungeons are giving me those Nocturne flashbacks, but without the random encounters.
@@catatonic165 No, I mean almost all of them are just winding hallways with the same few mobs scattered about with little variation. And that applies even more so to side dungeons. It's just the same looking endless hallways. It's old school Nocturne, only without the difficulty. They're nothing like SMT V or even Persona 5 in terms of variety, verticality, exploration, puzzles, or interesting concepts. Maybe it's closer to Persona 4's procedural floor looking designs
As a female gamer that got into playing in my late 20s, I love hearing about the games Kim plays. Her taste sounds really similar to mine and it’s encouraging to hear her finish these long jrpgs that are still on my backlog. 😅

I am very belatedly playing Octopath Traveler 1 and 2.. bought the collection when they came ou together for PS5.. right now just at the beginning of the first one and have 3 characters so far. Good on you man for finding a lady to be your partner that loves gaming too!!

Dragon Quest is my favorite series, Kim has great taste in RPG’s. She clearly liked Final Fantasy IX, I loved that game because it finally returned to the fantasy setting. Hopefully the rumors of a remake are true.

Super cute video! I think two games Kim might like is also Snack World and Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. Snack World is a dungeon crawler RPG with unique classes, and DQM is more of an open world, monster collecting RPG! I hope we can see her play more games on the channel soon 🤗
Ni no Kuni 1 and 2 are by far some of my fav games I’ve ever played! I’m with you Kim! The characters and story are what make it! The art style is amazing. There’s so much to do, and it’s so satisfying to complete it all!
Some RPGs I'm playing right now...... -Chained Echoes (literally Final Fantasy VI with more the mecha element, and I already love it) -Skald: Against the Black Priory (amazing throwback to classic CRPGs like Ultima, and with the Commodore 64 aesthetic too) -Dragon Quest XI (My favorite Dragon Quest game, especially for the amazing storytelling and world-building) -Star Ocean: The Second Story R (amazing remake of an amazing action RPG on the PS1) -Front Mission 3 (one of my favorite strategy RPGs for the PS1, plus it's literally Armored Core the RPG) -Ring of Red (dieselpunk mecha with storytelling nowhere outta place in Gundam 0083, 'nuff said) -Xenogears Perfect Works Build (literally my true GOTY 2024, mostly because of how they've handled the re-translation and quality of life stuff, and they're still working on this game even now)
I went into Dragon Quest Builders 2 because of this channel. It became one of my favorite games. Fantastic game play and what a surprisingly good story.
