Growing up I became known as the dude that ALWAYS had a Mirror Force set when he needed it. I’ll never lose the memories of my friends reactions to me flipping that on them. That card became associated with me very quickly and I still haven’t lived it down. The heart of the cards is real with that one man…
I left my rares only deck at my first locals about 10 years ago. It was a dark/light style deck with wave motion cannon and a few ghost rares. It was worth a fortune and id put my soul into making this unique combo, somebody handed it in and i was so over the moon. I miss going there because there was nothing but good intentions and happy people there
Yugioh was THE game for me and my friends when we were younger 😂
One memory that I'll never forget, was that one of our friend played a really mean Gravekeeper deck. None of us could defeat him and we were all so mad.
So one day, we printed a custom field card that basically said "While this field is in play, no players can play Gravekeeper cards. This field cannot be destroyed" (something like that) 😂 needless to say, he was so shocked when we played it
Looking back today, I feel kinda bad for doing that cause he was actually pretty upset and felt that we were all ganging up on him!
But I guess someone's gotta teach those Gravekeepers a lesson! 😅
I bought two boxes as well man I just had to buy them for nostalgia purposes. Kids have it so easy to have all these cards in one box 😂 can’t wait to unbox these on Friday

Duel Monsters-era Yu Gi Oh was almost entirely beatdown for the first year or two. I remember the McDonald's promotion that straight up gave you great (for 2002-2003) cards like Summoned Skull, Giant Warrior Made of Stone, and Exodia pieces.
We just bought a new house & packing up I found my pack from when I was in elementary. Found a 1st edition blue eye dragon in a sleeve & a dark magician sleeved up. Super nostalgic ! Def gunna have to get this 25th celebration. I’m currently getting both of those graded. Going straight in the office collection !
My favorite moment about yugioh was when I would go to a flee market called Gibraltar and go to a certain booth in the back where this old man would sell cards for $7 (3 for $15) which is where I got all my vwxyz cards, blue eyes ultimate, and many more
I remember once in school we didn’t have the duelling disk so we played on the ground and the wind would blow our cards away and we would have to chase after them 😂

Oh man this brings back memories. I remember the last thing my grandpa bought me when I was a kid was the rocket man tin. He knew I really wanted it and took me to Toys R Us to get it. It was one of the few times it was just me and him. He probably didn’t think of it much but that was one of the best memories I have of him. Miss you Papalo ❤
i was the same way! i've been revisiting stuff from my childhood and had no idea yu gi oh was so complicated now ! i ordered mine in the mail today hoping to get a quarter century obelisk!
I started collecting most of the GX era cards and they’ve brought back so much nostalgia. I’m kind of on the same boat as you. I have no interest in competing or anything like that just simply rebuying all the Og GX and yugioh cards 😎
I noticed the spanish version of this comes with a nice collectible box you can use to store your cards, dont understand why the english version came like this
loved wagering with my friends at school on the playground. didn't win many games but wasn't loving much either. very nice memories

Before i return to pokemon tcg, i often play the exodia deck before it banned 😂
My favorite memory was when I beat my friend in a duel and then called him bad, but was going easy on me and he added his blue eyes 5o his deck and beat me like 7 turns.😂😂😂

Great video! Lowkey, my buddy made me open a pack a couple weeks ago and nostalgia hit hard! I mainly played Yugioh tcg ALOT and back in grade 3 just meeting at Recess to play with friends, and getting those Egyptian god card tins! Or just even drawing the artwork of the monsters on a piece of paper! Glad to see this Yugioh content!!🔥
Edit: Ever since that one pack my buddy made me open, let’s just say I’ve been enjoying ripping! That 25th anniversary box is on the list of nexts👀🤣
You should start playing again it's fun. It's not as complicated as you think, there is just various ways of special summoning so it might seem a little complex.

Its so nostalgic to see classic yugioh cards from the early days of my childhood even if i Never Never learnd how to play duel monsters tcg i have fun memories making my mother go to the mall with so she can buy me pegasus deck like a really long time ago in the early 2000,s also Also watching the anime being 2 Young back in the toonami nights on CN always had a sense of anime mysterie more than pokemon even better in a way and i love pokemon really cool

Great video man, I used to play YuGiOh all the time and absolutely loved it. I remember being so mad at the TV show because the cards never had the same effects as the real cards. Yugi was always doing cool stuff on the show that we never got to do lol. I have a few structure decks of YuGiOh but like you said the game has gotten way too complicated for me to even think about playing it. Keep up the phenomenal work man.

Well I do play modern yugioh but there also a much easier way play a little while now but they brought out speed duel and it's much easier to newcomers and returning players 😊
