This guide will give you a good general idea of how to install a Cipher Auto universal harness bar. This harness bar will fit most vehicles with an interior measurement of about 48 inches from B-Pillar to B-Pillar.

For future watchers, this is a universal kit, you find the size you need by measuring the space between your b pillars of your car, then follow the video

Some places it's illegal to drive with a racing harness, and it's required to use the factory seat belt. Which I think is stupid

single shear mounting of the rod end to the the cross bar..., should be double shear.

Do you have a b-pillar? If you have it, you should be able to mount the harness bar. Please check our website for the vehicle specific bar for your respective vehicle.
Biggest thing I learned: Take pictures as you go, in case.

glad I'm not the only one that caught that. the dude needs to use longer bolts, and point out harness bars should be used only for autocross and not on the streets.
Why no spring washer, don't you want to retain taut in the fitting?
will this fit my 2015 scion tc?? is the harness bar adjustable? like what if it is too short or too long to fit between the seatbelt mount points?
what about on a car that does not have B-Pillars? i see you list this fist older muscle cars, im just curious as to how it is supposed to be mounted on a hardtop car that doesnt have the middle B-Pillar. i dont see any youtube videos on this channel on installing them in such a vehicle nor can i find instructions online

i understand this is universal. im amazed with the design and size and looking at buying one. However how far do the lower support frame tubes extend out? i read that the harnesses need to be wrapped and secured at no less than a 0 degree angle through the seats and this setting looks really low at a negative angle.
+Shalashaska016 Depends on the setback from seat and whether or not the seat is FIA homologated. FIA states shoulder harnesses must sit in range of no more than 10 degrees above horizontal of shoulder harness holes to no more than 45 degrees below horizontal said holes.

My seat belts connect to the seats bolts, can I still install this or will I have issues?
As long as that bar is no more than 45° downwards this should be fine

Nice vid but that harness does not hang that low. Look it up it doesn't provide and extra support for the harness when its that low
The harness bar is meant for the installation for the seat belt. In addition, this is an universal harness bar. It will fit many types of vehicles, so if the support bar is too low, you may need to purchase a longer one from us to satisfy your requirement.
+Cipher Auto i was just letting people know to have max protection. The harness bar is supposed to be set at a 20° angle down from the mounting points

i would just cut all the scrap from the old oem harness (anything wouldnt be used anymore after installing the racing bar...
Can someone still sit in the back?
If it is a 4 door, you can still sit in the back easy. If it is a coupe, it will be a challenge to go in and out. It is not recommended for two door to have passenger to sit at the back when the bar installed.
no one should be behind the bar rather 4 door or a couple. some one could get hurt if in a wreck.

Bar should be around shoulder height and welds look like they done by a blind man. Get a refund.
