I appreciate the critique of "self-sending" ministers/missionaries because it seeks to cultivate both ecclesiastical and personal faithfulness where we currently find ourselves in the Lord's providence. He that is not faithful in little cannot be trusted with much. Also, this critique is really helpful because it emphasizes more than a man's mere inward call to the ministry. Our Lord leads His sheep through the courts of the church.
