How To Prevent Wax Strings

- Wax strings are annoying for any waxer, however they can be easily prevented! First, when pulling wax from your wax warmer, make sure you continue to spin your stick until the string falls off. I think some of us waxers will be moving too fast and it's easy to forget to keep spinning your stick. Easy fix! Next, after you lay the strip on your client, make sure you wait a second and then quickly jerk the stick away from the strip. This will allow the string to cool and can easily pull away from the strip.

Hi. I'm a DIY waxer and have mainly been using soft waxes for 15 years. I have jars and bags of hard wax that never worked for me. Now I realize that it's been user error the whole time. Cooler wax moves slower and will stay on the stick a little better. Also stick size has a lot to do with it. The Quality of the wax may also affect how much you can get on your stick.

Does it also depend on the quality of your wax how bad the strings are?My husband bought a cheap wax for his nose and the strings were awful!😆 All over the place!

With Mermaid Wax Signature Series, you can apply the strips VERY thin. :)
It depends on the wax you're using, with the one I use if I apply it too thin it'll break on me.
